I stream everything so while it may be good, I don't see myself playing this anytime soon. Hard for me to take a picture of cause the screen is so spastic, but if you got hdmi or appletv, then give the airplay widescreen support a chance cause it is awesome! Very very highly recommended! That would be cool! Royce Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2011 4,239 179 63 #9 Royce, Apr 17, 2013 Yup, I also keep very little music on my iPad so that's mostly what I have used. There are only certain preset channels though. I usually just pick some random techno/trance stuff. amdreh Well-Known Member Mar 26, 2013 227 0 0 Brazil #10 amdreh, Apr 17, 2013 Bought! mrbiggles Well-Known Member Jul 3, 2012 3,691 0 0 Like retired USA #11 mrbiggles, Apr 17, 2013 free mabe later same here... must have gotten it when it was free, if you can wait it might go free for the 4th time still haven't played it yet Greyskull Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2009 5,588 1 38 Photographer/Social Sciences adjunct/sweet sweet l Fort Lauderdale #12 Greyskull, Apr 17, 2013 Do you have itunes? What I do is pick up freebies (song of the week, Starbucks freebies, etc), download to my device from the cloud, play them in Beat Hazard, and delete em when I need space. Also, there is a radio mode, though not all the stations work. Still my fav dual stick shooter on ios. It's beautiful, but I didn't feel much interaction with the music. Greyskull Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2009 5,588 1 38 Photographer/Social Sciences adjunct/sweet sweet l Fort Lauderdale #18 Greyskull, Apr 17, 2013 It isn't a music-melded/synesthasia type game like Rez or even Lumines; it isn't the type of game in which the music and the gameplay become one in your mind...rather it's a music driven game, in which the music (I forget exactly what aspects...tempo changes, bpm, perhaps frequency) is scanned and a unique stage is generated based on the track. Every time you play the dame track you should get the exact same stage...enemy patterns, speed, waves, etc. It's more of a Monster Rancher sorta experience (in the original Monster Rancher, you created monsters by inserting a CD into your Playstaytion 1; each CD created a unique monster but any given CD provided the same result, like a number hash). More "intense" sections of songs should provide a more intense experience though, and vice-versa. You can see the difference if you play a game with a fast heavy metal song versus a slow, ambient trance track. The trance track can actually be more difficult though, as the stage will spawn less weapon powerups. Another thing: mid-song tempo changes can make a big difference. Some good tracks to use would be ones with a classic bridge-chorus structure. amdreh Well-Known Member Mar 26, 2013 227 0 0 Brazil #19 amdreh, Apr 17, 2013 I've played with the classic music radio and could see what you are explaining very clear. By the way, metal and jazz radio stations are not working. Is it only with me? Greyskull Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2009 5,588 1 38 Photographer/Social Sciences adjunct/sweet sweet l Fort Lauderdale #20 Greyskull, Apr 17, 2013 There were a couple stations that NEVER worked for me, and I got the game shortly after release. To bad it doesn't have an internet radio tuner built in, but that would probably require licensing fees of some sort (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
