Just finished listening to Hollow Syndicate by Naildown, and now back to From Afar by Ensiferum, which I've been listening to all day. What a song...
As I Lay Dying ftw! I'll give that song a shot after this one since I've actually never heard that one. Check out Confined, it's my favorite song of theirs.
Really? Just ok? I love that song. The clean vocals were placed perfectly into that song and just sound amazing. Not as much of a scream fest as The Pain of Separation at least... Btw, I'm listening to that song now. I had the speakers relatively loud when I started the song, and I'm the only one awake... Yeah, thank God I'm in the other room and no one's a light sleeper.
Pain of Seperation is brutal. But I can't get into it like An Ocean Between Us or Upsidedown Kingdom or 94 Hours. Forever is pretty good too.
That's the thing that I like about Confined. It's not brutal. It sounds insane, but it's not really a brutal song. The clean vocals really help that. Same goes for The Darkest Nights. But if it wasn't almost midnight and I could blast my music as loud as I wanted, I'd be playing The Pain of Separation until my ears fell off. Oh yeah, yourofl12, check out Destroy the Runner. I think you'll like them. Apparently they work with the singer of AILD, so you can't go wrong there.
currently fine tuning the mix to a song I recorded, can I get some feedback? - http://www.myspace.com/dukefloss Edit: Also been listening to quite a bit of Beck lately for some reason.
I'm listening to Death of Me right now, and it's pretty sick so far. Reminds me a bit of Demon Hunter, another band I like a lot and recommend to all of you who are interested in the same music as I.
Do you want an honest answer or the answer that I think will make you happy? I tend to listen to RED when I get depressed xD But it still is good music. Demonhunter huh? I'll check them out.
whatever makes you happy - it hasn't been mastered yet, and I will point out that I am not one to really care one way or the other of someones opinion, but it is nice to get feedback from random people.
Best part was the last 30 seconds where you got the bass involved. Too much clash and horrible chord progression early on. It's getting there, but needs some work. Wonderful - Gary Go
