So yesterday I was updating The Unofficial GameSalad Textbook. I noticed that I mentioned a game that's not live. And then this morning, Apple is like, "Dude, your reservation for Arcading is going to expire if you don't upload a binary soon."

OK... OK... I'll launch the game. :p

So sometime next week Arcading should be available. It's a free app, with a retro style. Basically, it's five mini-games in one. It also has Game Center support. It's a relaunch of a previous app, but the Game Center part is new.

Yeah yeah, me again. How's progress? Could you give us massive reports like you did for BOT? :D

Ha ha, this game is not as good as BOT. It's just a relaunch of an older game under a new name... and Game Center leaderboards were added. Although, if it does have a strong launch, then maybe I'll post updates, write progress reports about those updates and add new games.

Right now, Arcading has only five games. One of them is locked. I'd like to add more games to the app, but the demand has to be there.

    What qualifies as demand?

    If version 1.0 has...
    1337 downloads on launch day.
Then there's a very good chance I'll make version 1.1.

There's also a contingency milestone, but that's classified.

It's a free app, so that's not a high milestone. If the app looks like it has a decent start, then this thread can be a place for feedback... a place where requests for improvements can be posted.

Maybe from a meager beginning, Arcading could grow into something great.

Also, there's something important to know about Arcading. It's a small game. BOT was huge and there was a big complaint about how much space the game took. That shouldn't be a complaint here, as Arcading is tiny comparatively.

    It's not my fault :)

Apple's review process is slow. Usually it's like a week... but the holiday weekend might have screwed things up. I set the release for July, 6, 2011... but it's not even in review today. So, a Wednesday launch is looking doubtful right now.

Do people really want updates for Arcading? It's not that good. If people had complaints about BOT, heh, there's lots to complain about here. :p
