Metal Slug/ Contra type game???

I'd love to see that too. The only game that comes even remotely close is heavy mach. It's not the same but it is the closest I have yet to find.

 

i don't really see that happening. but if we're lucky, we'll get a metal slug port

 

Contacting the developers to have them create a port, or a dev trying to get rights to create a port

I haven't played this game but, blade angel seems like it is similar to Metal Slug.

Everyone was comparing it to Metal Slug in the thread before I bought it.

 

Or to port Finalburn to the iPhone. It runs just great on faster Pocket PC's - see http://www.modaco.com/content/smartphone-software-games/247894/finalburn-for-wince-0-014/ . You might want to ask the dev of the WinMo port, masterall, to help in the iPhone port.

It's able to run most MS games at full speed on my 624 MHz Dell Axim x51v. I've also published several articles on the emulator BTW.

 

Bionic Surfer is probably the game you are looking for.

Read a post from the developer ones and it sounded pretty impressive, using a physics engine to simulate the environment in the game.

yeah, i completely agree with you. we might not ever see a game like contra or metal slug in the app store
