How does this port looks/works on a normal IPhone 4?
And are there any differences to the DS version?

Can anyone comment about the difficulty? The trailer says there are diferent levels of it. To be honest i love RPGs but hate random enconters and the need to grind my ass out before proceeding with the game. Especially with iOS games. It's not like i'm going to sit there and fight 100 random battles with the same group of monsters just to level up and do it all over again! =/

Chaos Rings 2 is my favorite of them all. It has the biggest improvements from the 1st but it's not completely different. I think that one is worth the money so the sale price is great. Plus it has beautiful graphics that FF4 can't even compare to. However probably FF4 will end up being the better game just because it's FF lol.

Well you can pick normal or hard and I'm playing on normal but I haven't gotten too far. There's also an auto battle button which makes grinding easier. I have it set if I feel I'm at a decent level and the enemies are basically weak.

I'm playing on normal and no grinding so far and enemies are about 1 hit kills with Cecil. Overworld battles are not too frequent-similar to other FFs. There's more enemies however in dungeons etc.

I'm not too deep in the game yet. I just got Rosa in my party.

Looks fine on my iPhone 4, but becomes a bit laggy when the scenary is crowded, like when exploring the top of the castle.

Cecil... Captain of the Loads..... sounds like a porno in the making. Is this supposed to be Lord Captain? Or does this have something to do with why he wears a visor? -___-

I think I'm gonna drop the cash for two reasons:

    1. The soundtrack is excellent.

    2. Active-battles, baby!

I agree with you, the battle does feel very slow for someone who has just completed 60++ hours at FFD. Was expecting the auto-battle to be as fast as FFD.

Overall, the game does feel a little bit sluggish when choosing and exiting the menu.

Having said that, it it still a great game! Well worth the money spent.

Is Final Fantasy Dimensions a better game? In what way?

I think the battle framerates are hard coded somehow. Seems about as laggy as the ds version, maybe a little better, but should not run the way it does on an iPad 3.

The iPad 3 has the game blown up on a huge screen with a relatively underpowered GPU. It makes sense that it'd stutter or have a lower framerate than the norm.

To me they are both great games, but in no way is FFD better. FF4 wins without effort.

I read an article with the FF makers that FF7 will never be remade anymore, unless they are 100% sure it will be so much better than the original... Which is highly unlikely. They even covered how a graphic enhanced FF7 with absolutely the same gameplay will fail.

Read that article last year or maybe early this year, but it does seem impossible for us to have an ff7 remake.

Did their explanation make sense? I mean it would make a boatload of money if they pulled it off.

Yeah... Im sure i posted it a while back on fb, so i'll try and find it later when i get to my computer at home.

It was an interview. They did say something about remaking other Ff titles, but not 7, seeing that it was the hallmark and redefined modern rpg, and was considered to be the best on the genre, or something.
