Must have been to get RR3. Anyway, it's definitely worth the full price anyway. Pocketnova Well-Known Member Oct 15, 2012 2,346 0 0 #4 Pocketnova, Feb 17, 2013 Idk... Not much of a fan of this genre of gaming... It looks kinda good though. Pocketnova Well-Known Member Oct 15, 2012 2,346 0 0 #6 Pocketnova, Feb 17, 2013 So, if I'm on the fence, what would you guys say? Like gameplay x/5, graphics x/5, world x/5, profanity x/5 (not that I care, just curious) and app size. Thanks! callmericardo Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2011 310 0 0 #7 callmericardo, Feb 17, 2013 Graphics should be nice on your iPad Mini. Put it this way, if Grand Theft Auto is Goodfellas, then Gangstar is like a cheap, sleazy B Movie that goes straight to DVD. It's vulgar and silly but loads of fun. The city is cool and the controls are good. There's loads to see and do and the city is well done. I love it, and I'm a huge GTA fan. Connector Well-Known Member May 6, 2012 15,512 1 0 In the Chatroom http://thechatroom.freeforums.net/ #8 Connector, Feb 17, 2013 Haven't played it much since it got put in the save for a rainy day cause of disk space. But I was really impressed by the graphics and cutscenes on my new ipad. Thought it looked a lot nicer than GTA3, so I was kind of surprised. Profanity is really high, I think more than GTA3, but I didn't play far, but it really has a movie atmosphere unlike GTA3, so maybe that is why I thought this game is more vulgar. Not for kids though, even though, I *think* I bought it off of Ninjackid's recommendations. App size, ahh hold on gotta go get my ipad... Back 1.7 gb, so very big. Highly recommended, especially for a buck. Siked Well-Known Member Jun 10, 2012 71 0 0 #9 Siked, Feb 17, 2013 Anyone know how this is on a 3rd gen iPod? Greyskull Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2009 5,588 1 38 Photographer/Social Sciences adjunct/sweet sweet l Fort Lauderdale #10 Greyskull, Feb 17, 2013 I played the first Gangstar HD version (before they began making the series universal); it was made free for a day or two when the first ipad was released. The controls were atrocious. This is what, the 3rd Gangstar game? Did Gameloft inprove the controls (especially driving, IIRC) between the first Gangstar and this one? callmericardo Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2011 310 0 0 #11 callmericardo, Feb 17, 2013 I did the same and deleted it in a rage too but that first car in 3 is the most annoying to drive. If you change to pedals and stick and keep playing a bit the driving controls are really good. I rarely hit another car now. Give it another go. It's a fun game. EDIT They're about the same as Gangstar 1. You get used to them. Huge filesize holding me back. Well, that and my gf just bought a Surface Pro. I'll take it for a test drive; if it can run less graphically intense Steam and GOG games, I might just get one and finally ditch ios. Imagine...a tablet with expandable storage, usb ports, and a full os. No more buying games that get gimped through updates, or having to deal with the POS known as iTunes. A file system I can isr without dropbox or "itunes connect". EDIT: It will certainly lower my blood pressure, and I can play the original Baldur's Gate from GOG with a mouse and attachable keyboard. For less than 10 bucks. And I just bought Darklands for 2.99. Don't have to wait for a port that isn't coming. callmericardo Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2011 310 0 0 #13 callmericardo, Feb 17, 2013 I think gaming and computing on any platform has its fair share of frustrations!
