I am a big fan of Toy Bot, so figured that this was a pretty safe purchase, but I have been really disappointed by the touchy nature of the control system, especially in jumping to the right. This being a problem as this is what you spend the first six levels doing almost exclusively. So so often he decides mid jump to ignore the laws of physics and come to a halt at the apex of the jump, killing himself and supremely frustrating me. Has anyone else had any problems with this? I also feel like the double jump is not nearly bouncy enough - often to make it to a platform I can't just jump in a straight diagonal - but have to jump in one direction and then switch midjump to the other direction to land barely with my little metal feet on the platform (if I am lucky). I am going off this game in a big way, so if I am just messing it up let me know .
Haven't had the same problems you have with the controls, though I can see how a finger can get "lost" when the action heats up on screen. As far as I can tell, there is no double jump in Toy Bot -- you hold down the jump button to get more air, and bounce on the box robots to really take off. Haven't been playing it for very long, but so far it's a lot of fun.
The controls do feel like an afterthought. I assumed the buttons would become "drop anywhere" when set to invisible: nope.
