Awesome game

Well now that the game is out I can finally say it, this game is awesome.
I was part of the beta testers and I must say some things.
1 - I did the ipod 6th gwn, ipad air1 and android (on a xiaomi redmi 3) tests and they all worked very well. I have played this both on an phone and an ipad and I thnk this is a game that goes well with a phone, but also well with an ipad. Graphics and fonts work well allaround. However, gameplay feels more the type to go on a phone, just because I reserve my ipad for big things like.planescape torment and banner saga. This game is incredibly fun in 5-10 mins sessions. If you know the game itself you know this is true. You basically play the BOT9th and have to either score something or out the other team.
2 the developers did an amazing beta. It was fast and to the point, they were very close to the testers, always getting very fast around bugs and problems and welcoming suggestions. For me this says a lot on the future of this game. It means they will keep welcoming feedback from players and putting into the game.
3 the game is an excelent port of the physical version. The only thing it doesn't have (for now maybe, don't know if they will put it up later) are the scenarios of the solo version and the solo deck. Also, (on the physical game) there is a big expansion coming up, as well as two mini expansions, so there is definitely room to grow.
Also on this topic, one of the things I like about the digital version is the attention to detail. You can make your own roster (like the physical game) and you have the cards as in the physical game, with the background of each guy.
For me this is insta buy, but once again a heads up this is not a game that you should play hours on end. This is good for lots and lots of small play sessions imho. A bit like race for the galaxy, where you can quickly play 2-3 games, then go do what you were doing.

Handelabra's other big game, Sentinels of the Multiverse, was an iPad only app for almost two years before the phone version came out. When the phone version was added, SOTM became a universal app. If they're willing to upgrade a $10 app with tons of DLC into a universal one, I imagine they'll do the same here.

I was also in the beta and I'll echo the previous tester. Handelabra was quick to respond to bug reports and feature requests, and I'm sure they'll be adding more content to the game to catch it up to the physical version, just like they did with SOTM.

The solo mode is just multiplayer with AI. It is good but it is not the physical game's solitaire which is very interesting because of different scenarios.
This is a game that has a strong mind-reading/"intimidation" component on the stare down. With the AI, I don't feel that is totally random. There is a predictable/unpredictable feel to it (or maybe that is just in my mind), where you think "ok if I were the AI, what would I do...".
It is interesting, but the game really shines in multiplayer. But if you are offline or just don't want to go multiplayer, then solo if fine for like 3 games in a row. More than that I feel it starts to become cumbersome (but so does multiplayer for me lol).

Ok thanks! I'll hold off for now unless the dev confirms solitaire mode is coming 😊

I asked them on Twitter, I'm sure they'll comment on it soon.

Heya, developer here!

- The tablet update will make it a Universal app. There will not be a separate tablet app.
- The solo rules/scenarios will be added in a future update. At present the Medium AI is based on those rules, though!
- We are also going to keep improving the AI in updates.

Happy to answer any more questions.

Nice. I was just going to grumble about tablet support but I see the dev already addressed it.
