http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=162834 Hey everyone! To celebrate our first review from Indie Game Magazine, we have a few promo codes to give away! The timing sure could be better, couldn't it? Our hearts go out to all of those affected by hurricane sandy. I, myself, live in NE Pennsylvania, and we just barely dodged a bullet with the hurricane. For anyone that wants to help, text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10 to American Red Cross Disaster Relief. If you're in the mood for some escapism or want to feel a bit of power in your finger, Wall Street Titan is a good choice!
Looks like we've got our first 3 responders + likes! Codes will go out to all of you (check FB PMs in a couple minutes) We still have a few codes to give away, again, we will randomly select the winners from the other responders here!
Whoops! I wasn't thinking about that when I posted! I guess if you're going to be snarky, you should aim your snark more carefully... Jeez, now I feel like a tool. Anyway, because I backed myself into this, these "advertise for us before you even know what you're playing 'contests'" rub me the wrong way, and I felt the Wall Street connection was pretty ironic... The guys that did Polara had one of these threads, and their pitch was "download the game, and if you play it, we'd love it if you'd Tweet about it," which I gladly did, because I didn't have to worry about the awkward moment where a friend asks me about the game and I have to tell them I don't actually own it yet, I was asked to say I liked it in order to get it... So yeah, note to self, keep mouth shut, or risk looking like an even bigger jerk than usual... DBC
That's a good point! We're not looking for advertising for us, more looking to engage with players, it just seemed like a good way to do it. This is our first release, so please forgive us if we mess a few things up along the way. For anyone that wants to see more of what the game's about, here's the game's iTunes page: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/wall-street-titan/id513183495?mt=8 and here's a gameplay video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJGrdBruaik&HD=1 Check out the iPad play at :30 it's pretty funny.
Thanks, everyone! I think we're about out of promo codes, I'm going to check and see if we have enough for everyone that's posted above. For everyone else interested, please check out the game! We've spent a year pouring our hearts into it, trying to make something truly worth playing. Thanks! Eric Boosman Creative Director Dark Tonic
Sorry speed, you were just a bit slow today, our promo code allotment is empty. For everyone that posted earlier, check your FB messages (might be in "other messages") or your PMs here on Touch Arcade for your promo codes and be sure to let us know what you think of the game!
