My youngest has this for her DS... I'm not sure if they're exactly the same because when I played a bit of it, she was already pretty deep into the game.

But I will say that me knowing exactly what this was before picking it up probably has something to do with me enjoying the hell out of it so far.

I do agree that they shouldn't advertise it as a platformer... but I really don't know what else you could say it is.

You can make platforms with vines, and use them to fling your little bird up and onto other platforms... there are no movement buttons, allowing you to put all of your focus into making vines and flinging the character. The graphics are great, and I'm having a blast...

But if you're expecting a right/left/jump button platformer, this is definitely not that.

Like LostWinds was a perfect fit for the Wii, I'm guessing this was too. It played great on the DS, and currently priced at $15, $3 for this version is a great deal. =o)

I too must ask if I'm not understanding the controls. They are so frustrating. If I make the line too steep the bird can't run up the vine. If I make it too low the bird hits the tiny lip of the hill I'm trying to get over and starts running the other way. It's very hard to see where the line is with your finger on screen and also very inaccurate.

Neat idea but with the frustrating controls, and ads in a demo, this is an easy pass.

I beat this game on Wii and it was a joy to play.

Is it really that bad here on iOS? :\

I think the main problem people are having is not knowing exactly what all you can do with the vines... I actually prefer it on iOS as opposed to the DS...

Not too sure how it compares with the Wii... but thinking about the controller, I think it'd be easier on the touch screen than with the Wii remote.

Thanks for posting the video, but I still find the controls frustrating and prefer the DS version.

It's great that there is a free version that people can try out before purchasing. Hopefully others will have better luck with the controls.

Tried the lite and I am considering the full version. I don't have any issue with the controls, seems to be fairly intuitive and works as it should as far as I can tell. The difficult thing is how fast the bird moves. Makes it a bit tough to get your vine where you want quick enough to keep up with the speed of the bird. Just adds to the challenge I suppose.

Overall I like it and will more than likely upgrade to the full version...
