I wanted to buy a game with what I had left on my iTunes account, $5.14

So I went to search to do the right thing and searched for 'Best Game Under $5'

The results came back and said the words Best, Under and $5 were too common so it showed all results with the word Game in it

This was very unhelpful and needs to be fixed, otherwise people will continue to make threads like that as they can't be found through search

Pretty much a common problem with all VBulletin forums.

Something you can try is a Google search similar to this-

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=safari&rls=en-us&q=site%3Aforums.toucharcade.com+best+game&btnG=Search

Basically just put this in Google-

    site:forums.toucharcade.com

And then whatever you want to search for after it, in the case above I searched for-

    site:forums.toucharcade.com best game

Usually returns a little bit more relevant results than the simple mysql queries that the VBulletin search is based on.

It's not VBulletin's fault as much as it is mysql really just not being good at full text searching and attempting to return relevant results.

I guess it's just complicated and it's what much forums will have as a problem. I don't think there is much to change about it?
