Darkest Fear has been sent to the appstore and will be released this week pending apples approval.

Darkest Fear defines an entirely new category of iPhone games, inviting the player deep into a haunting story of hidden mystery and bitter despair. Darkest Fear features 15 challenging levels, each with its own puzzles to solve and hazards to overcome. Furniture and walls leave realistic shadows, creating an atmosphere of intense horror that test the nerves of even the most jaded player. One wrong move taken in haste is all takes for you too to get torn to pieces!

Only the brave play this game alone in the Dark, prepare for a scare

It looks cool, can the guy run? Walks a little stiff and seems to shake a bit.

Unfortunately you cannot run in the game. We thought running would spoil some of the horror elements of the game and make some people race through levels missing many important game elements.

The price is going to be €2.99.

I'm new to Rovio and never played the old game so when i tested this out it really did give me a few scares specially from the sound effects.

The music was composed by one of Finland's top game sound composers Ari Pulkkinen, he did a great job of composing the sounds.

I think I would have liked the object moving to be animated... the way it is now mroe closely resembles a mobile game rather than an iPhone game. Apart from that it looks cool, definitely gonna be watching the progress on this.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it Ilmari Hakkola who composed and played the music for Darkest Fears 1-3. That's what I remember when I was coding Darkest Fears 2 & 3. ;) Anyway, the song used in the Darkest Fear iPhone trailer sounds really like the main theme in Darkest Fear 1 J2ME...

Looks pretty good. I think I might add this to my upcoming wanted games list, along with the other greats already there. I really love the music.

Thanks for pointing that out ttursas. Ilmari Hakkola's original soundtrack has been re-composed in HD for the iPhone by Ari Pulkkinen. Also Ari re-made all the in game sounds.

Either way the sounds are excellent

yeah, the game looks good. Puzzle plus horror that's a sure winner. Only, one thing. I always felt like i need guns on dis kind of game haha. I just wish I could shoot something!

Maybe, somebody might bring F.E.A.R type of horror shooter on the iphone soon? haha. :D
