A recent update unlocked the previously IAP upgrade to all users so although SSC 14 "premium" was always "free" it previously required a $2.99 unlock, that IAP unlock is now gone with all content on download (initial fee only, now there is no IAP) so there really is a reduction. Why the developer didn't just add the premium (no IAP) version as a new app (instead of adding a new app with IAP unlock and making prior IAP edition just upfront) is beyond me but his loss (it became totally free to prior trial downloadeds). Uprising Elton Well-Known Member Oct 6, 2009 1,172 63 48 #5 Uprising Elton, Jul 27, 2014 Thanks for answering the query. The reason for the 2 versions is that the older SSC 2013 (which was free) has now been updated to become SSC '14 'free' This left the newer SSC 14 release, which was originally released as a new free app, kind of spare. This has become the Premium edition which is now a paid app free from ads and IAPs, which many people bemoan. The reasons for 2013 not updating to '14 in the first place is too long to explain here! (Ad rates, installed base, discoverability etc.) So yes, this IS a full on price drop for a limited time! And thanks for the comments about the game there are plenty more content updates planned and as always once you've bought any version of SSC, all new versions will be fully unlocked for free. mrbiggles Well-Known Member Jul 3, 2012 3,691 0 0 Like retired USA #6 mrbiggles, Jul 31, 2014 ok i understand... I prefer full standalone non-iap version. I usually don't waste my time with any IAP games to add; levels, addons etc unsure what all the IAPs are about in the non-prem ver? like the unlock400, and VIP Unlock400 $1.99 SSC '14 VIP$2.99 SSC'14 Tokens Gold$0.99 Coins400$0.99 Coins2800$1.99 SSC'14 Tokens Platinum$1.99 overall would like to see more added like world cup and other features to have more player control to setup a pass plays and ball skills, change formations(defend or aggressive play) and mabe upgrade player skills if they make some shots, a goal defend(can upgrade the keepers recover to get up fast) and more info on how to rush the ball at the goal etc. overall its worth $1 to me... I understand its retro just think it needs a but more to make it a bit appealing if more of the above is added i'd be up to playing a bit more. still have Fifa on my main play list. Speaker Member Jul 31, 2014 19 0 0 #7 Speaker, Jul 31, 2014 I don't know, during the last days the premium version has gone down from EUR 2.79 to 1.79 and still has IAPs for purchasing 200 or 600 tokens. Even after I deleted and reinstalled the game. Quite different from what's being claimed here. undeadcow Well-Known Member Dec 4, 2010 9,493 2 36 Houston, TX #8 undeadcow, Jul 31, 2014 I haven't played SSC since some of the recent updates (not necessarily avoiding it, just busy) but today there was an update that adds "Code Redemption system for players with old Free install with Tokens (requires iOS6.0 and higher);" I assume this is to somehow prevent players who downloaded the previously free version from getting the game entirely for free but unsure how it affects users like myself who received the full upgrade by virtue of owning the prior SSC edition (initial offer) or paid full price.
