For a few months we have been working hard on a brand new IOS Game called Dead Effect. Still several more weeks ahead of us, but we think it's the right time to share some basic information about the game. ESS Meridian, chosen to be rebuilt as the first long range military/scientific starship, is travelling through space with a new FTL technology, headed for its destination - to colonize the first planet (Tau Ceti f) in the history of mankind. A few years later, a crew member (Unit 13) is disrupted from a cryogenic sleep. There could be only one reason for this, but nothing indicates it now. Doubt it. Those devices are quickly becoming the middle tier of iOS gaming. Very few games actually run at 60 on A6 devices, most iOS games' refresh rates are locked. 60FPS will suck a phone battery dry in no time
First of all, sorry for my English, I am not native speaker. It isn't possible to avoid IAP in nowadays. But don't worry, it will be cheap. Cheaper, than you can imagine .We decided, that gamer will pay for everything. First in game steps, .99c (You gain achievment called...well First step), use left and right feet to move forward: .99c and. "Shoot your first zombie", also achievement .99c. Just kidding. Short story: no IAP. No paid ingame currency. Premium price (not set yet). Campaign (relative short, due small development team) We are focussing on maximum game stability and speed(hell optimization is my second name....and thats sad, because I am an artist ). ipad 2> 60 fps iphone 4s> 30-50fps ipod touch...not tested yet. Still some time, before we will end this madness...ehmmm i mean development. About typo mistakes, sorry for them. It is hard time for us in that case. btw. Be kind to your web European dude.
Assault Weapons, zombies, space (space ship) whats not to like, clip is brief but looks good.Hopefully it'll be universal and not free.
I thought I was the only one who noticed the monsters' resemblance to the DT zombies. This looks really cool though. I'll buy it when it comes out, because I love me some FPS's.
iPod touch 5th gen has the same power as the iPhone 4S but with as lightly bigger screen, so performance should be about the same for the two devices. The 4th gen is pretty much a lost cause. It is probably only going to reach 30fps when it feels like it. Thanks for the quick reply as well. Definitely going to watch this one!
I appreciate that You say this. It's kind of honor for Us. Anyway it's not our goal. Our character artist is super experienced in making mutants of all sort (how do I know...well I was sitting next to him for almost two years) but we desided to make game with...pfff zombies. And about Madfinger Games (dead trigger, shadowgun, samurai, bloody xmas and what was that puzzle like game), we can't be compared with them for many reasons. Sorry if you feel in that way, but for us it's good to hear that. Survival in arena. Yes. Coop mode. No. Far from polished . But we will do our best to bring, relatively small, solid game. Yup. It's not freetoplay. We haven't capacities to build obstacles between gamers and game, right now. And for me as a gamer...I am happy for that. Don't make me wrong, maybe in far future, we add some stupid things like extra skins for weapons for fans or so, but not secondary ingame currency, paytowin etc. ...anyway it's really distant future. And we are not planning this right now. Thx for suggestion about Ipod 5th Gen. Still We will try 4th Gen if it's possible, but I am not naive. Even now, we have parts of game, where things go to hell. Personally I think that in most part of the game, it will be necessary to do drop down number of the enemies to reasonable numbers(7?+-). Not bad at all, because on PC build, in arena mode, I was dying too fast . I don't like them(zombies), without headshot...they are not dying...BEASTS. OK i am not FPS player, give me some turn based strategy. Yeah I am playing Our game almost every day. Hell, when I saw trailer, no matter it's almost 11 pm here, I am totally dead after loooong day....I played it again. Well, just first few missions (those are most finished) Sadly not. This is so huge part of game development, that it's impossible to cover it with such small team and with small amount of money. Yeah our designer/team leader suggest this, but it's echo of the future. Maybe, the game will be selling well. Then... No, no, it's sci-fi. Literally. Thank you guys, I am leaving into the land of dreams, to rest for a while. I have pretty long schedule, what must be done. I don't know, when I come back. @Hochy Can't compare you to that awful Freemium MadFinger Co. If its free of any obtrusive iAP that is! Haha, so A few questions, 1.) Will There be a solid storyline and/or lots of exploration? 2.) What engine was this made on? And 3.) when can I expect to pay for this gorgeous gem I've stumbled upon?!

This looks spectacular, looking forward to it. Please release before July 14th, going on vacation that week, or as you Europeans say, going on holiday. I'd love to have this game to play on my flights. Love a good zombie game. This one will definitely be on my radar until its release. Oh, and please make this for Android as well, so I can play it on my Nexus 7
