Just answer honestly, and if you feel like it, share what game type you picked and why. Or if you chose other, what other type of iPhone game do you like?

EDIT: I know I spelled Role Playing Games wrong... if a moderator could change that, I would be grateful.

I have two favorites, Action and RPG games. I didn't add Action to the list, as it would probably just DOMINATE the polls, and it was too broad of a category, as 50% of the games on the App Store are Action games.

I like a nice open-world game like GTA, but when it comes down to my absolute favorite games, they always turn out to be RPG's or something similar to an RPG.

Voted for RPG, though I play them in pair with Chess (Fritz), Card and board games.

    yes
I voted RPG, but it has to be an original game thats not overpriced (if grinding is a key part of it, it does not deserve to exist :D), otherwise dual-stick shooters and casual games

I also forgot to add Adventure games. I've spent too many hours of my life playing random LucasArts adventure games, as well as a couple by Sierra and Revolution Studios, which is really starting to be one of my favorite Adventure game makers, as well as the Chzo Mythos which is an awesome freeware Point-and-Click Horror game series.

And I need a good action game some times. Stuff like GTA, NYZ (Which is coming out soon, just ended the beta stage), BIA 2, etc.

I voted casual games. As much as I love long RPGs and other type games, and even though I have way too many of them, I still don't have much time for them. Pick-up-and-play is where it's at for me. However dual-stick shooters are right behind casual. Definitely one of my fav genres.

Wow, I'm really surprised RPG took the cake. I was expecting Duel Stick Shooters or Casual Games, but I totally agree.

RPG all the way. Anyone like dungeon crawlers/roguelikes? Games like Rogue Touch, Cavern, Sword of Fargoal etc? It seems to be a bit of an outcast in gaming, but seeing as how RPGs are very similar if not influenced by Roguelikes, I was wonder what you guys thought.

Aren't RPGs spelt: Role Playing Games? Is it really Roll? If so, I'm an idiot.

I voted rpg. I like them most because of the storylines, game length, content, upgrading, characters, sense of adventure, strategies, engaging gameplay throughout the game, any so many other reasons.

I enjoy games that offer rpg elements mostly. The more I can customize to tailor a game to my liking, the better.

I chose RPG games, but while I like RPGs for both computer and console, for iPod Touch/iPhone I don't want huge, sprawling epic RPGs. I intensely dislike any game that feels like it's been ported from a console, with faux d-pad and buttons in place of touchscreen controls (ie. Zenonia). I want games that feel like they were developed from the ground up specifically for the platform. So far the only RPGs I've come across I've liked on App Store have been casual games with RPG elements such as Sword & Poker and Space Miner. Presently it seems that most developers on App Store interested in making quality RPG games want to just port console games or create games that would've worked well on consoles, but control poorly on a touchscreen.

A second preference would be for point and click adventure games. I love the ports of Broken Sword and Beneath A Steel Sky. Didn't care much for Monkey Island though. I'd love to see Full Throttle and The Dig.

Space shooters (like Star Pagga or Galaxy on Fire)
Flying games (Wings of Glory, X-Plane, Top Gun)
Adventure games (Monkey Island, Beneath a Steel Sky)
Dungeon crawlers (Dungeon Hunter, Rogue Touch -- these are not really RPGs)

And it's "role," not "roll." This isn't a bakery, boy!
