I'm just starting to get into anime. Can you reccomend me some good tv shows and games. Thanks in advance.

I like anything to do with time travel or parallel dimensions.

But it can be anything really, doesn't have to include those. Just looking for a starting point.
    Cheers

Time travel only ones I can think off are

    Steins Gate
    Erased

    for the other dimension/world thing

    Re:Zero
    Konosuba
    Outbreak Company
    Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash
    Overlord
    Log Horizon
    Sword Art Online

There are probably a lot more I'd recommend using https://myanimelist.net to keep track and find recommendations from shows you liked.

Not really time travel or parallel universe but I recommend Sword Art Online and Accel World. SAO is a virtual reality MMO where people all buy a newly realized game, put on there virtual reality helmets and then discover they can't log out and death in the game means death in the real world. Accel World is another VR mmo where a secret game goes around that grants kid the power to accelerate and freeze time at moments notice, 1 second in real life is 16 mins in the virtual world. It brings up some interesting sub plots since these kids can mentally age years when in reality only a short amount of time has happened in real life.

I will second Sword Art Online, as it's great. Just finishing the first season now. For time travel, Steins;Gate is the obvious one.

If you really are new to anime, and want a parallel dimensions story, then Full Metal Alchemist is a classic. Either that or the Brotherhood remake, which some say is better. I watched the original, which is still great.

Knowing what you typically watch or what you prefer to watch would be helpful in giving recommendations. Anime isn't a genre but another form in which story telling takes place. You can go for simplistic moe blobs or enter into some surreal films about life within the medium.
