Spell Siege: My sister and I just released our first indie game! [Universal]

Hey all, we're really happy to post about this game here. I'd really love to hear what you guys think about our first game!

More bigger & better games to come, to be sure, but I'm really proud of this one! My sister did the art, my girlfriend did the music, and I did the rest. Whew, it's finally done

All codes gone!
Here are some codes to get the conversation going:

I find the game quite good. I like the aiming system and the spells you can unlock. But I find that it is a bit too laggy for the simplicity of its graphics. Maybe some tweak could do it ?

Game Impressions

Okay, played through most of game (late 20s). It's actually pretty fun!

Graphics are decent. The menus especially are full of charm and are a pleasure to look at. The monsters give off a sort of Zombieville USA vibe. The effects from spells look especially nice. Music is fitting.

The gameplay is also fun. It's sort of a slingshot game where holding the screen charges the shot, although instead of max power if you hold too long your shot weakens. Instead, you have to hold the standard attack for just the right amount when the reticle flashes and then fire for maximum effect. It's satisfying and works well.

The other spells are fun as well, and they all have their uses. Ice freezes, wind traps/blows away, etc. There is a bit of strategy involved because you are not limited to buying the first level of each spell. For example, you can buy wind level 2 without ever getting one. This adds an element of saving your coins or spending them early.

Overall pretty good. Boss battles are entertaining and for 99 cents you get a short but fun experience. It can feel repetitive at times but there are no crippling flaws. The bonus stages feel pointless because they are either absurdly easy, or they present you with a multitude of chests and then shuffle them around. This is pointless because you don't know how many coins are in the chest, so I don't see why shuffling them has any use as it is luck regardless. Game length could be a little longer.

Great first game!
