Default Madness! Casual 2d Shooter Needs Alpha Testers

UPDATE: Added gameplay video.

Hi Folks,

Why this post
I'm working on a 2d shooter featuring a farmer protecting his field from evil forest animals. It's pretty standard but has it's own feel and if you like shooters you'll like this. I'm at the point where I need people to help test it and provide valuable feedback to help shape the game. If you like what you see, use the TestFlight link at the bottom to join.

Why is this game interesting?
There are 3 difficulties: normal, hard, and madness. Unlike other shooters where you die and start over trying to get a higher score; in Madness you are always leveling up which makes you stronger so you can progress each game. The enemies also have a chance to drop trinkets which you can equip to boost stats such as damage, speed, xp and gold. The stats are random so each drop will be exciting and finding good trinkets will be rewarding.

This looks questionable (maybe because it's in alpha / early development)...

...but I applied for the beta anyway because there haven't been many promising dual stick shooter games. Thanks in advance to the developers for any consideration.

Yes I agree the graphics are not strong at the moment, I haven't put much effort into them at this time. However, I've made some changes today which I think helps the first impressions at least. The gameplay is what I'm really interested in having tested.

Are you making the art yourself or do you have someone else to do it? Are the screenshots representative of the final look, or are they just placeholder art?

It's really hard to get feedback, especially from non-devs, when you dont have stuff that looks finalized and polished. I'd suggest starting off any publicity with either concept art, or mockups of what the final game will look like. Then be careful what you show after that. In-development stuff that doesnt look good might be understandable, but potential customers might not understand... and might think it's what the final game will look like.

I've been doing most of the art myself. I'm trying to find someone to help out with the art to make it better but because I can't pay much upfront its been tough.

I uploaded a short video to youtube showing the movement and early gameplay. As you get further in the game you have dozens of enemies attacking and you can unlock flamethrowers, machine guns, lasers, land mines, poison clouds, etc.
