Quick question: I see the game keeps a record of your moves... Is that merely for besting your own scores on subsequent re-plays? Is it for earning gold / silver / bronze medals? Or is there a cut-off limit on the number of moves per level? P.S: Your App-Store description is very short. Whilst I appreciate the need to sum up the game in one or two lines in the first paragraph, what with the Store's new "description-clipping" layout, why not include the rest of the gameplay description from your development blog after the jump? The one from here: http://starfruitgames.com/blog/?p=86#more-86 People who just chance upon it in the App-Store (rather than on forums like this one) may have no clue what the game is about... truthlaser Well-Known Member Jan 16, 2009 62 0 0 #5 truthlaser, Jan 15, 2010 Indeed. I think I came across it on the TIG-forums. zztfox Well-Known Member Oct 15, 2008 812 0 0 #6 zztfox, Jan 15, 2010 Last edited: Jan 15, 2010 How are there 100 medals to earn with only 60 levels? And that means removing all the blocks and not letting any of them fall in the water. (heart medal) The heart medals are made even harder to get by the fact that you cannot just tap every block at once and make them all go away, there is a recharge time for each tap! Also nice is the quick play option which randomly plays levels you have unlocked and you have to see how many you can beat without losing the pink star. The medal system is also used in this mode by giving extra points for getting them. Ex) beating a stage by basic clear gives 1 point, clearing it with a heart medal (most moves) gives 2 points, and clearing with a star medal (least moves) gives 3 points. The quick play also only records your highest score, no top 10 list or anything. You can post your results to Twitter or Facebook, however. Also about the theme, it is kind of cute, but I have not found it overbearing (no annoying voices sound effects, etc...). All in all, a great value at $1.99, especially if you like these physics kind of games, and even more if you are a collectionist (getting all the medals) JonLim Active Member Aug 18, 2009 37 0 0 Founder at MustTap.com Toronto, Ontario, Canada http://www.musttap.com #10 JonLim, Jan 15, 2010 Looks amazing mate, great job! Would it be possible for you to post that review on the App Store too? Any written reviews I get would help me a lot, and yours is very well written. I'm so glad that you enjoy the game! Yes, I'm using the Unity iPhone engine to make this. I ended up building the game from scratch though, because the iPhone requires that you are pretty efficient with your code and graphics. Thanks Brett! The record of your score in 'quick play' mode is just for you to have something to beat. My best is 21 by the way! You're totally right! I fixed the App Store description last night because of this, and I hope it's a little better now. It's hard to get used to the way it crops the description. I spurred all the others in the hope that this one would come out after seeing it on another forum some time ago (but can't think which one)... I would love to see a button on the game screen labelled "skip" because then you DO have to go back to the level-select and choose another which is a little cumbersome. Or, even better, arrows pointing left/right at the bottom (in the corner perhaps) so you can skip forwards/backwards immediately. medianotzu Well-Known Member Nov 21, 2009 3,803 9 36 #17 medianotzu, Jan 18, 2010 I'm loving this game. I think it mentions it in a tutorial, and you can often reset even after completing the stage. I'm seriously considering the level forward/backward buttons for one of the future updates.
