Judging just by the single picture we have... a multiplayer-based FPS like Modern Combat Domination?

There were no official confirmation or denial from Gameloft so far...
This remains a rumour.

 

To me it sounds like a multiplayer-only game. I hope it doesn't use UE3, I want NOVA 3 to use it instead and also the next gangstar game.

edit - also has there been any evidence to suggest it's an iOS game? Could it be a PSN game like Modern Combat: Domination?

 

It's probably a multiplayer-only game, like Modern Combat: Domination.

 

If this game is using unreal tech then it is really limited and only arena type of game... But it looks like it. Multi player only game but why not?

As I already wrote in my NOVA 3 Thread - it really will got Unreal Engine!!

 

No one is exactly sure yet.

 

I really hope it doesnt use the UE engine i never liked the nova series....well i hope this sequel will be better...

 

The quote was from pocket gamer, which simply had reported it as a rumor. I saw it in the rumor mine or whatever its called. also, notice it says "word has it" = rumor as far as I can tell. Also, this may not be NOVA 3... it is possible it is a different NOVA game, as it says NOVA Elite, not NOVA 3

 

This looks more like NOVA:ODST than NOVA 3 tbh.

 

Yeah I'd rather them use it for Modern Combat.

 

I hope they redo the entire graphical assets for N.O.V.A I really never liked those games, and everything just seemed a bit plain.

The environments in Modern Combat 2 were better.

 

This is definitely going to utilize the Unreal Engine. NOVA is one of gameloft's highest rated + most popular games, and they're probably going to want to add the Unreal Engine to their most popular game.

The graphics in NOVA 2 were already very nice. I can't wait to play NOVA with IB graphics.
