Default My favoriate puzzle games (full comments)

Hey guys-

Just wanted to say thank you for this game, this is seriously my favorite/the best puzzle game I've played so far.

Unlike another commenter, I won't say that I'd pay "any price" for future levels- I can say that I very much look forward to them.....

What I like:

The difficulty level- The game is almost perfect regarding the level of difficulty. I find most other puzzle games way too easy to keep me interested for long. This game was different. Most of the levels I solved at 'perfect' the first time, but there were many that took several tries, and 3 or 4 which were -very- difficult. I could stand to have it be a -little- more difficult, but not too much.

The 'puzzle' itself- This game is creative and interesting. First, it's a real puzzle, not a hand-eye-coordination game like tetris or bejeweled etc., and not like many other generic puzzle apps. ( like re-create the picture from a jigsaw puzzle like grid, or connecting lines like 'flow free' or 'monolith'... This game is different and interesting, and really, a puzzle.

So keep up the good work! (Please!)

Comment that doesn't fit anywhere else- Love the name- When I tell friends about it, they remember, lol.... I don't understand those that say the name is too risque. Maybe it's harder for you to get the name out, to get people to try the game, I don't know.

----------------------------------------
Ok- So, some things I don't like (some comments are better than others, and they're listed in no particular order):

It seems to me that the app drains battery life quickly, even when running in the background. This might be my imagination, but that's my solid impression.

-------------------
I think the hint system could be improved. I like that hints are free, and maybe that's because of the situation:
One hint usually doesn't help much.... the 'problem' is usually somewhere in the middle of the puzzle, and I have to burn several hints to get to the point I don't understand.
Also- Often there is more than one way to solve a problem (at least, many moves can be made in any order), so hints sometimes aren't useful in the way that I want them to be.

I have no suggestion for how to improve this... and the way it is, it's not -horrible- just not quite as helpful as I'd like. It would probably be too complicated to have the app try to understand exactly -where- I've made my first wrong move. Dunno.

-------------------
Most times, when I'm in the middle of a puzzle and close the app, when I go back, the app has reset (as if closed/shut down). Sometimes I wish it would take me back to where I was in the game.

Suggestion: Have it be one or the other, but not both, and my preference would be to go back to the place that I was in the game.

-------------------

Restarted the level takes a long time to load compared to "undoing moves"... after 5-6 + moves, I always use the 'undo move' button, because 'start the level over' button seems to take a long time to load.

Maybe speed that up a bit?

-------------------

Just a 'hair' (one hairy ball, lol?) harder. As I said above, the difficulty is great for me. But I'm a perfectionist, and so I'll just say- whoever your puzzle designer is, he could do to make it just a hair more difficult.

I notice that most of the puzzles can be solved leaving all balls in front of their mushrooms as the last 4 moves. But there were a handful of puzzles where a ball had to eat the mushroom BEFORE the rest of the puzzle could be solved. Those were challenging... Maybe more funky things like that....

(Just by way of reference: I breezed through most of the levels within a couple minutes, solving 'perfectly'. I always move on to the next level right away. On every 'half season' (Autumn 2, Spring 1, etc.) There are about 4 to 7 levels that I have to back and try to redo perfectly. Most of those I eventually get, those sometimes it takes quite a while. I have used hints maybe 4 times, 2 of those I was just impatient and didn't want to think about it too much. Currently- my last level I need 'perfect' is Winter2:Level 21. I CAN NOT, for the life of me, figure it out beyond 'passed'. But I'm not giving up yet, and don't tell me!)

Anyway- truly love the game overall, and am definitely looking forward to move levels. (One of the only reasons I'd take the time to write such a long review is because I like the game so much...)

Part of me wants to say that I wish the balls 'spun around like a top' or something instead of heading to their death on: a different colored mushroom, or a fire-square or something... then I wouldn't have to wait for the game to reload. But all of that feels like part of the heart of the game... so I don't know. (But I really appreciate the 'undo' button on the 'level-finished' screen!)

Oooh- here's a '2.0' suggestion- how about making the board zoom in-able and out-able... and be able to ROTATE it?? Anyway, just a thought-

Great game-

Sincerely-
