I redownloaded my emulators and noticed all of my roms and save states were still there. I DID back up my roms to my computer, but apparently it wasn't necessary to put them back on my phone since they were never erased during the update and the new jailbreak process.

At first I was thinking in order to update that I had to remove the jailbreak prior... I didn't and the update removed it on its own.

My 5.1.1 jailbreak has the same stuff as my 5.0.1 jailbreak as I only use the jailbreak for emulators, winterboard, and dreamboard so I didn't notice any difference to my phone. I don't know what other people use nor am I an expert at this so I don't know if others do as I did if their roms will still be on their phones as well.

Thanks guys for the help!
Are you saying you were on 5.0 (jailbroken) and immediately jailbroke to 5.1 without Restoring via iTunes beforehand? Or were you tethered 5.1?

I think he's saying the latter which gels with my experience. Updated from 5.0.1 to 5.1.1 and lost jailbreak. Used Absinthe to re-jailbreak and when I redownloaded emulators all my files were still there. I made a Dropbox backup with iFile just in case though

What device are you on? I'm on the new iPad. I think retina might have something to do with it.

The new version works just fine on the iPad 3, as has also been stated in the dedicated article: http://www.iphonelife.com/blog/87/co...atibility-list (see "UPDATE (05/28/2012)", which even has a demo video shot with it)
