I hate to be the pessimist here but I really want to know how the game is controlled first before I start getting excited
OMG!! This looks freakin' AMAZING!!! The new Unity engine is REALLY giving the Unreal Engine3 a run for it's money!!
It's a tap game, where you tap on enemies to pummel them while the game moves you on a rail. Just kidding (-; I hope.....
: 0 but... but.... but..... HOW CAN THERE BE SO MANY AWESOME GAMES?????? but honestly, it looks great. There's probably some element of special attacks coming from drawing shapes that you select from a deck of cards with special moves or something. Either way, it looks awesome.
Initial reaction: Dante (DMC) without guns in cowboy costume!? Reaction after trailer: ... ... ... (tepid disdain). $h!+ this looks dead boring... especially the 3-hit combo. Conclusion: graphics over-hype? DMC4R on iPhone looks like yester-decade but the gameplay seriously trumps this game's 3-hit combo. Hope this is not just another game featuring awesome graphics and unoriginal gameplay (Shadowgun ANYONE?).
I have to say, that is a ridiculous statement. DMC is an all out button masher (which is fun, btw). If you prefer hack-n-slash button mash, that's fine. But what made you think to compare it to this..?
This is the MOST ridiculous statement... How many DMC games have you played? What difficulty? Ever beaten all but the highest difficulties (one hit kill for you)? There's more than enough buttons and combos to pull off to make this franchise one of the most skill based action games. And what makes you think this game isn't a hack-n-slash?
This game must spark your interest if it's got you comparing it to the console Devil May Cry franchise (although I can't see where the comparison stands). The iPhone version of DMC4 is almost pure hacknslash, practically arcade-ish. The gameplay trailer.
Wow! This looks amazing! Shadowgun and now this. Thank you Unity and all of you dev teams that know how to use it. The landscape reminds me of Warm Gun a bit. Anyway, I'm diggin the wild-west zombie theme. Strictly speaking in terms of artwork, kinda like a red dead dead space
