At the moment I'm trying to make a start on watching the 1st season of Smallville and the 5th season of Dexter. Interms of Star Trek: I'd put them in this order 1)TNG 2)Voyager 3)Orignal Series 4)DS9 I'd didn't see much of the other one so can't accurately put that somewhere. Other notable sci-fi series: 1st season of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century Blake 7 was good first time around. Space 1999 as above (1st season)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer Dexter Fresh Prince of Bell Air And too bad about Firefly, that was shaping up to be an amazing TV series. MIddle finger to Fox
One brilliant series that I forgot to mention was LIFE ON MARS. Brilliant take on the cop show and has a great "fish out of water" time travel theme even though it's set in 1970's UK. Great cast, great plots and the two leads work very well together. Best TV show I've seen in ages.
i liked Big Bang Theory, but i think they are really starting to jump the shark there with the new subplots (howard in space, "shamy", etc).
Big Bang Theory - lots of geeky fun - watch every night (reruns / on demand) Fringe Stargate SG-1 Person of Interest
Justified. Fringe. Battlestar Galactica (Ronald D. Moore one). Game of Thrones. Big Bang Theory. And honorary mention to The Mentalist.
Anyone watching Homeland? Been considering whether to watch it after it picked up so many awards recently..
Managed to eventually get my hands on the Suit's program I've been curious about it since I saw it mentioned here, only seen 5 episodes so far but it is a very good show and it's really not like me to watch legal type shows.
I missed it the first time round but i heard so many good things from friends i hunted it down and i've watched the whole of Season 1 and about to start with Season 2. After Sopranos/24 finished i've been after a good TV series to watch for some time, do find this really good. I wouldnt buy it (as i wouldnt re-watch it) but it is really good
Great shows: The Sopranos (hands down #1 show ever) Boardwalk Empire (has potential to be #1 in 3-4 more seasons) Mad Men (extremely authentic in every detail) Game of Thrones (follows the books pretty damn close but short seasons) Breaking Bad (wonky plot sometimes but always adrenaline packed) Seinfeld (best comedy of all time) The Walking Dead (even tho they destroyed the comic series plotline) Good but not great shows: Dexter (could've been #1 show ever if it was HBO not showtime :S) Californication (simply amazing show) Suits Entourage (awesome show) Lost (wtf?) Fringe (season 1-2 were sooooo good) Community (best comedy on TV now) Spartacus (awesome fight scenes and graphics) Weeds (satisfied me for 8 seasons, It wasn't meant to be super serious which I liked) Dragonball Z/GT (YAAAA!!!) notable mentions: FlashForward (had an amazing idea but didn't get the ratings) How To Make it in America (Entourage spinoff in NYC) The Event Awake (I predicted the ending from the pilot but still a decent show for 1 season) Heroes (season 1 alone is great, 2 is ok but 3-4 suck hard) I have all seasons of the Wire ready to watch, I imagine it'll be near the top of my list. I HATE big bang theory... booooo
I've been on a Holiday and basicly just lounging around watching TV I used this thread as a guide for good shows I've missed and so far I've watched Suits: Great show really enjoyed can't wait for series 3 Breaking bad: Again really good show I couldn't stop watching. I think I'll attempt the Sopranos next thanks for everyones recommendations I've been missing some real gems.
