Does icon contain blood can get approval by Apple? I've just checked the icons in the store. I can't find one that contains blood. Recently I'm developing a new game and the icons designed are here: I wonder if these icons can get approval. Thanks!
Take a look at the game Slash Master, there's blood in the icon (also, the idea is quite similar to yours).
I've seen worse get approved. Such a small amount of blood should be absolutely no problem, seeing as they've gotten over that little fear of violence they had back in '08/'09.
I don't know. I'm not a dev, I'm a customer. And when I buy apps by indie dev, I look at the icon. You know, 'crappy' icon may suggest crappy contents. Good luck.
Your icon is one of the most important parts of your game as it's what a lot of people surfing through game lists will see first. So what's more important than the blood is whether you are happy with that icon and what it portrays. We had a similar issue with our icon and I searched around to see a precedent for blood in other icons. From what I saw your icon is very tame, particularly because it's a cartoon representation, so that shouldn't be an issue based on previously accepted games.
