Bitter end in multiplayer does offer some hard core strategies and requires more thinking ahead of time , at least on German side , because once allies get air support you better be well entrenched and have enough VP generating around, from there on it's all about surviving until end and retreating.
Luck of the draw also spices up strategy part, as you can get some really crazy combination at the beginning which can give huge advantage if used right.
