    Wow, interesting graphics.
    Looks cell-shaded/cartoon like.

Since it would probably be power hungry to make cell shading in real time, everything is textured like it already, so you could say the game will use zero lighting.

Another target render but if all goes well the game should look exactly as above, all lighting is done by textures to keep things simple, I can't write shaders :)

The main car from the first page has had a huge reduce in texture size but the result is that the car looks better imo, using 1/4 the texture space then before.

This is the only car featured so far but I plan to make more once the game is running, start light then add content when it all works!

Also since I spent a few years learning sequential illustraton I plan to make a small animated intro, drawn not 3D, but we shall see. If you can't tell this game is very anime like.

mmmmmm... kinda on the wall bout this one. def would like to see a Dirt2 knock offtype game. You know one with actual rally cars and actual real life tracks etc.... You guys should try to get liscences for rally vehicles. ( much like the ones in the X games). hopefully you guys change the way your approaching this game

Dirt 2? It's an iPhone mate. Screw the realism, let's have a bit of crazy off-the-wall rally fun.

    Sorry but screw the realism?

Screw the realism? If they considered making this a sim rally racer much like Dirt 2 then they could make a lot more money than with this arcade racer. Granted there isn't much like this out there but I beleive that racing games in the AppStore Are heading in the realism direction. This game still looks sweet ass and it's Def buy for me any waY they make it but I'm just saying higher profits might be earned with a more realistic game. Maybe they could do both?

its like Real Racing vs NFSU...I'd rather have a realistic game than arcade. Thats just me though.

Sounds like you're letting your own preference get in the way of reality. Why do you assume people want sim more than arcade? iPhone can't barely even handle sim so arcade is the ideal style for the platform. There's hardly a shred of evidence that suggest all these iPhone owners are crying our for sim racers.

Happy new year! just to let you know that development is still going but has been slow, now that it's a fresh year this has become my main project and should have some good information soon :D

    Since october:

Visual style has adjusted but is still anime-ish
Car selection will all be fantasy, no licenses since this is an indie project

So you think everyone thinks like you? No.
People are always looking outside the box. Looking for something different, something alternative to 'another typical racing game'.
In today's crowded market, people often love a twist like this.
