Pretty much. It's not terrible, and if they tweaked a few things - like if dropping Blades didn't automatically destroy everything in a ten foot radius, and/or they didn't go through your own walls, it could start to be pretty good. But as it is it feels weirdly under-developed and the production values are just mediocre.

I felt the same way when I first got this, but being able to play it for the last 2 weeks, it's REALLY grown on me. I love the minimalistic UI/feeling of it all, and the strategic elements are just great. I will admit that the wall destroying is a bit annoying, but once you build up sections of towers, and try to plan out where the blade lands, it can get a lot better, especially since it doesn't destroy towers, only walls and enemies.

I won't try and pull your arms, but I will say its a title that gets better the more you play.

on a side note, is there no in game music, or just a bug?

I'll admit, I am definitely more likely to give this game a try because of Sakaguchi. If this was a no-name developer and I saw the screenshots / vid, I wouldn't give it a second look. With a guy like that it's hard not to let it color your judgement a little.

yeah, only music is on the title screen. But damnit I love it. =oP

As TD games are one of my favorite genres I play most of them. This is a decent game but not up to fieldrunners standards. The offensive twist is nice to destroy the enemy hive. I do also like the building of the inexpensive walls .
However the game could definitely use a difficulty setting, maybe as simple as easy, med, hard. It would also be nice if the towers showed how far along they are in the upgrade tree.
If you like TD games then you might want to pick this one up as it is only 99 cents. Hopefully the dev will update to make this game better.
