Default Issue with battery life on 5s

Hi guy! I just recently received my first phone in 3 years and It was the iphone 5s I absolutely love it! However the one problem I have is that the battery goes away so fast... I'm extremely new to having a new phone especially an iphone so I don't know what to do to increase my battery life.. What I did so far is turn off wifi whenever I need to, turn off Bluetooth, and I think that the auto brightness wastes battery but I find it so helpful. Please give me tips on battery life and the phone in general ^^

Turn off app refresh, this was killing my battery. Another thing to do is recalibrate the battery. Run the phone down till it completely dies and then recharge it all the way to 100% on a single charge. Do not remove it before its done.

On my 5s:

5 hours 10 mins of usage

13 hours 19 mins on standby

And i have 47% of battery left. I'm extremely satisfied

Also switch off all the search options in spotlight search in settings > acsessability. If you don't use that search tool.
