So, what sales are coming up for the 4th?

    Topple 2
    WordFu (just picked it up)

Yeah, I know they claim they are on sale because of Rolando, but really they are just being patriotic!

What else is coming up? Hopes?

If by patriotic you mean a capitalistic company trying to make more money, then I agree completely! :p

Celebrating capitalism is being patriotic though, especially in these dark times, when Osama is trying to force socialism on us.

I hope nothing goes on sale, so I'm less tempted to buy more games.....

But if I had to choose one, I would be interested in The Quest if it dropped in price.

Why would there be 4th of July sales? Well, any sales are good sales.

    Americans. o_o
Other than that, I really don't expect much from international devs.

Yeah.... I don't see this happening either. Christmas gets sales but not only us Americans celebrate it....
I mean... There are some Holidays going on RIGHT NOW in some countries... Devs aren't gonna give sales for all of them... I just don't see it happening.

i just spent $50 on new apps, hope none of those go on sale!! lol

i'm trying too hard to fill my 32GB 3GS. it's amazing how much it holds. i have over 200 apps, 1500 songs, 600 photos, 5 movies, 12 tv shows, 200 comic books and still have 9+ gigs free.

here's a question. other than deleting and reloading apps is there a way to get new apps on the springboard if all 11 pages are full??

yeah, you just don't see them. You can find them using the search feature by scrolling left from the first page

I hope ngmoco comes to it's senses and reduces the price on Star Defense.
The latest TD game from Origin8 is much better then Star Defense and it's $3 less.

You can use more than 11 pages and search for the invisible apps with Spotlight. I hope Apple will provide a better app management solution soon.

poor little thread was doomed from the start. posted in the wrong section and no links = thread suicide.

i know i can use spotlight but with 200+ apps sometimes you forget the names of the "invisible" ones...lol i'd just like the new apps to go on page 2, and the ones on page 11 go invisible 1 by 1 as i add new stuff. i'd like to make stocks and address book invisible.

Unfortunately, until Apple provides for better app management (at least a basic sort by name/date would be nice, complete management via iTunes including folders would be better) yor choices are limited.

    1. Cycle the apps on the device.
    2. Live with hidden apps (use search to get at them)
    3. Jailbreak and use pseudo-folders.
    4. Jailbreak and organize the plist yourself via a text editor.

    None are ideal.

If you want to push stocks and address bock of the springboard you can put them on the last page, pull two apps out of the dock and put them in front of stocks and address bock.

i dragged the stocks icon all the way to the back so i don't have to look at, so hopefully it will be the first to get kicked to the invisible pages when i fill my pages up...in another icon or two ;)

but i totally agree, icon management is shamefully bad...itunes should just have essentially a screen pic representing each "page" of icons on our phone (even the invisible pages) where we can rearrange the icons to our satisfaction on the computer with our mouse, then sync and our icons are now nicely organized...all this shuffling of vibrating icons is absolutely terrible...it took me over 30 minutes to get two icons I wanted to sit together on the last page to stay there and then to correct all the damage they did of shuffling icons to other pages

or some nice organizer tabs at the bottom to help organize our icons into groups
