I was thinking of buying the 4th gen itouch recently, I currently have a 2nd gen. Then I thought about all of my games that would lose their progress if I switched. I'd like to hear from others who faced this dilemma, and what you decided to do.

So there's no way to have your games the way you left them on your older device when you buy a new one? You would think Apple would take gamers into consideration for this sort of thing, since they keep making better devices.

What are you talking about..everytime you sync your ipod, it backs all the saves into your computer..when using a brand new ipod, the first thing it asks is if you want to back up your old data into it..apple takes into consideration everything they can for us.

Yep just set up the new one with the backup from your old one and you'll be fine.
