Having played many iPod Touch games, I have compiled a list of the 5 most console-quality games to date, from least entertaining to most. 5. NOVA 2 Where it lacks in storyline and diverse gameplay, NOVA 2 makes up in graphics, content, and overall replay value. Diversity in weapons and enemies add to the exprience, and multiplayer will keep you busy for a while. With a lengthy campaign and 10-player online (with unlockable weapons and perks), NOVA 2 is definitely worth a look. OVERALL: 8/10 4. Gangstar: Miami Vindication With a decent storyline, diverse gameplay, and great graphics, Gangstar: MV really shows what the platform is capable of. A huge open-world environment unfolds before you as you travel on a quest to find your kid brother, traveling via boat, motorcycle, car, or helicopter. While campaign may have repetitive missions at times (most missions involve traveling somewhere and saving/killing someone), it's hard to complain while fighting SWAT teams with a minigun from a helicopter. OVERALL: 8/10 3. Modern Combat: Black Pegasus With a diverse, action-packed campaign, amazing graphics, and 10-player online, MC2 sure packs a punch. The campaign features slow-mo sequences, QTEs, and spans 4 environments. Online features unlockable weapons, attachments, and perks, and a rank system. The only thing that irks me about this title is the lack of weapons. While around 15 guns may sound promising, most seem to be placed there just for show (the mini uzi takes about 2 clips to kill someone, the Druganov takes 3 shots to kill, etc.). However, if you're a fan of MW2, or shooters in general, be sure to check this title out. OVERALL: 9/10 2. COD: Nazi Zombies COD: Nazi Zombies completely captures the feel of the console title. Every gun, perk, map, and easter egg is intact, along with a couple extras thrown in (shovel melee in Sho No Numa, PPSH on Nacht Der Untoten, etc). While controls get cramped at times, and online suffers extreme lag in some cases, you'll still be amazed at how complete the experience is. OVERALL: 9/10 1. Dead Space Pretty much a console title in itself, Dead Space sets the bar for IOS performance. With the best storyline to date, absolutely stunning graphics, and incredible amounts of content, this title will pick you up and knock you down. An immersive storyline and practically nonexistent HUD add to the experience, and upgrades and weapons make this title very replayable. However, do NOT play this if you are easily scared, as it is the most terrifying game in the app store so far. While campaign will make you jump a little, traveling off the beaten path will reward you with hallucinations and ammo drops. THe only drawback is the inability to lower your weapon easily, and that's hardly worth mentioning. OVERALL: 11/10
Osmos!!!!! Papa Sangre!!!!!!! GTA!!!!!!! Infinity Blade( I've played a lot worse on consoles)!!!!!!!! Riven and Myst!!!!!!!!! Come on
Dead Space is overrated in these forums. Short, lineal, repetitive and lack of a multiplayer mode. PS the scariest game is Papa Sangre.
Love 'em or hate 'em the majority of Gameloft's stuff deserves a mention along with Ravensword and Aralon (which is fantastic on iPad)
I have to agree with the Dead Space topping things. It really has set the bar for iOS gaming standards. It's price is attractive (would have easily picked this up at $10) it's familiar to DS1 players, the controls are f*cking butter smooth, the story is great and immersive and for lack of better words, this game is f*cking incredible for an iOS game. Call it overratted all you god damn want, it's a sweet game.
1 Real Racing 2 2 GTA China Wars 3 Edge 4 Papa Sangre 5 Dead space 6 Chaos Ring 7 Galaxy On Fire 2 8 Toki Tori 9 Ace Attorney 10 Espgaluda 2
lol Dead Space is the ONLY console experience on the iOS and you might wanna check other forums, DS is "overrated" everywhere, what does that tells you? -Long enough -all Horror games are linear -it doesn't need MP, MP is not necesary, moot point. best on the app store, period.
Zombie Infection? Hero of Sparta 2? COD zombies is a mini game in a console title. It is not a console quality game on the iphone.
