Hi, I’m Andy Cowe, I’ve just submitted my first game to Apple for review. TiltStorm is a 3D arcade game with no virtual controls: Tilt to move, touch to fire.

Design decision number one was native controls. The player travels in a circle, similar to Tempest and Gyruss, the tilt controls allowing fast or slow movement. Touching the screen anywhere to fire results in no virtual controls (OK, not everywhere, touching the score triggers pause).

TiltStorm is a universal app for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, and runs at 60 frames-per-second even on an iPhone 3G. It has Game Center high scores and achievements, all submitted in iOS 4.2.

That looks very nice - congrats on the release!

I had to come into this thread though. I misread the title as 'Titstorm' and was intrigued to say the least!

Thanks for putting a smile on my face, and good luck with it!

You're the second person to say that today. It wasn't planned, it was done with the breast of intentions.
