    Hi All,

We are glad to announce our new action / puzzle / real time strategy game called Draw Wars.
Take a look on a small collage presenting different stages of creating this game which I personally really enjoy :).

I hope you will like it as well.

I'm looking forward to more information on Draw Wars. Evil Indie is definitely an under rated iOS developer in my opinion. January can't come quick enough.

    Hi Guys,

Please, help us decide which icon is the best one for Draw Wars game?
    1,2,3,4,5 or 6 ? I'll count the votes :).

I like icon 4. The line road and tank emphasis seems to convey what I get out of the video. Icon borders are nice. I might even prefer the cartoon style version of this from the image in first post.

The video looks smooth. Looking forward to the release.

From the first image it's interesting to see the development timeframe was about 5 months.

Just checked Lead Wars and I think the only similar thing is that there are "units" in both games - as in almost every strategy game…

    Differences:
    - idea: Lead Wars seems to be turn based, while Draw Wars is real time strategy
    - gfx: Lead Wars is 2D, Draw Wars is 3D
    - navigating units: in Lead Wars you navigate using pencil and lines, Draw Wars has "draw the path" mechanics (it's more like Draw Race I would say).
    - attacking: in Draw Wars units attack themselves automatically basing on units attack range, in Lead Wars you perform each attack separately
    - many other differences: special weapons in Draw Wars (mines, air raid, fog, etc), upgrading technologies for units, supporting infantry forces, military buildings in Draw Wars and so on…

I suppose you said that because of the top down view and simple, toy like units? is there any AI for enemy units in Lead Wars?
I think you could have said as well that Rovio stole Crush The Castle when created Angry Birds and Wind-Up Knight is sequel of Robot Unicorn...

oooooomonkey, we designed the game to be Universal (optimized it even for older devices), but now Apple seems not to going to support older devices (armv6) - they don't support them in new xCode tool. That's why we are going to release it only for newer devices (armv7, starting from iPhone 3GS).
So there will be HD version for armv7 devices only, supporting of course new iPhone and iPad.
Hope you guys have armv7 devices :).

We hope Draw Wars will be released 2013.01.04 - this Friday. There can be some small changes due to Apple review process delays. We will let you know when the game is out.
