It also says version 1.1.5 even if the last version is 1.2.1 Grogshot Active Member Nov 13, 2015 40 0 0 Madrid, Spain, Earth http://www.grogshot.com #6 Grogshot, Aug 24, 2017 Thank you! Also, Tako is kinda aimed at kids, so pace is too slow (at least for me). I purchased Tako long ago and long ago it was also deleted from my device. HJ, on the other hand, still remains. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Besides, I think this focuses on kanas and kanji, poor or no depth at all in grammar. Hopefully this will help me learn Asp Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2017 769 196 43 #9 Asp, Aug 25, 2017 Human Japanese is designed as the language course, and also costs a lot more. Tako is teaching the kana and kanji, and does this in a fun way. The games are good for kids but can help anyone who is starting out. The best thing I like with Tako is being able to practice the writing on screen and learning the correct stroke order, which is important. I got this mostly to study the N4 and N5 kanji. L0ck Well-Known Member Jan 29, 2015 212 2 0 #10 L0ck, Aug 25, 2017 Just a heads-up, but N5-level kanji is super-basic kanji. People who are hoping to read light novels are gonna need far more kanji than this. I'm all for people studying in whatever way works best for them, and gamification is a proven motivator, but realize this will just get you started down a far longer road. e: You get up to N3 and N2 level kanji, and I'll def be interested then! YaoYao Active Member May 21, 2014 26 0 1 #13 YaoYao, Aug 26, 2017 Is HJ 64 bit? Doesn't look like it's been updated in years. bryngylf Member Jan 18, 2013 20 0 1 #14 bryngylf, Aug 28, 2017 I got the free Lite version, and it's not listed in the "will not work in iOS 11" list, so I guess it's 64 bit. I agree with previous posters; HJ is amazing, but this app looks really nice and polished as well. I might give it a try!
