Wow. Game looks pretty decent. Will be buying this as soon as it goes live. Hope it will be universal.
It's definitely in the same management simulation rpg genre as Recettear, except you will be owning a Tavern/bar instead of an item shop. If beta goes well (which we will probably need the community's help) we should be able to release mid Feb. As for ipad support, it is playable like all other apps, but will be small on ipad 1. if you expand it on ipad2, it looks like an snes game. this is something we need to work on in the future if the game does well...but since it's originally made for psp, we need to redo the images to fully support the ipad.
Cool! I remember you were debating the name a while back? Excited to see screenshots and see a target date! Can't wait!
Started playing Recettear recently and loved it, and this game looks like it has strategy RPG and Harvest Moon elements, both of which I like too.
if you still need testers i would like to volunteer! cant wait for this to come out! on another hand, are there any games like this on the iphone out? or any unending rpgs that are fun to play??
It was hard to find any info on the psp Japanese version of this game but I discovered it was called "Fushigi no Kuni no Bouken Sakaba" but that was about it. Looks like a really cool game though, I'm looking forward to the release.
Will the iPad version be separate or will it be made universal? I don't mind supporting the iPhone version with my iPad.. But I don't want to have to buy a separate ipad version later and start over.
Brad wrote an article for us! Thank you guys for helping us get this thread noticed! http://toucharcade.com/2012/01/18/adventure-bar-story-coming-to-iphone-in-february/ I will be back to answer specific questions regarding device support and prices soon. A lot has not been decided, we are too busy getting the beta ready for testing.
In a way, it reminds me of the Etrian Odyssey games, where you would have to collect trophies (skins, tusks, etc) from creatures in order to enable the purchase of new items in the shop. Is the bar management aspect of this strictly strategic as opposed to more action-oriented (ala Cake Mania or Sally's Salon)?
