Hi folks: I have developed a new MAME4iOS version supporting iPhone 5. This build is for non-jailbroken devices only. You must resign the app bundle with your own Apple developer certificate. You can download the ipa and source code at: http://code.google.com/p/imame4all/ The performance is awesome with new swift processors. Complete changelog: Added iPhone 5 support. Universal armv7+armv7s binary. Code refactoring for iOS 6. Added game filtering (manufacturer, driver source, year, category, keyword, clones). Added favorites. Added option to delete games in rom manager. Added iTunes file sharing to upload roms. Added auto selection for 1-6 buttons & 2-8 ways stick. Added iMpulse controller support (+ TwiMpulse). Added low latency audio option. Improved rom manager. A lot of bug fixes. cheers!
Hm... This is intriguing, but isn't it impossible to run an unofficial .ipa without a jailbroken device? Unless that's what you were getting at when you said "resign the app bundle with your own Apple developer certificate"? ...and can only app developers utilize this? Either way, I'm really not sure about this lol... Hm..
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah i want thisssssssss for my iphone 5!! @seleuco this version run cps3 roms good on iphone5?
thk u, but to use the software developer has to have the same account? I use the programs without being developer? and I would like to use the. ipa
software developer has to have the same account? yes I use the programs without being developer? yeah now you can resign the app bundle [like mame4ios] with your own Apple developer certificate.
So, if I'm not missing something, you need to spend $99 to get the dev cert to run this, after approval. Ouch.
Why not submit this to the regular app store so everyone can use it? The previous version slipped through for a few days and a ton of people downloaded it so why would it be different for this?
I feel bad for you, this is a super cool project and it's awesome that you're doing it but I fear for your inbox filled with "how i install dev" and other similar things. Here's a tip: If you don't know how to install this, you really shouldn't be screwing with it.
So, what--I don't need this if I already have the old version, right? Not gonna improve what I already have! Or what? Not quite understanding this thing here.
No. This new version, has a lot new features and bug fixes than the old one. Also is a little faster on A5 devices too. My devices are all A6 devices, that's why I can't build and test a jail broken MAME4iOS. But don't worry, as soon as jailbreak will be available, I will publish it.
