Technically, it is now freemium. This is a top tier game made by major publisher adult swim! If you weren't a previous owner of this game, it is a total must download! It is an Operation wolf like game where you shoot enemy ninjas by pressing on the screen. It has GREAT controls, and the graphics are top notch. Previous owners will get 20,000 coins. With those I unlocked all levels and game modes and still have tons of coins left, so that is nice they didn't forget about us. Also, new ipad owners will be happy with the new ipad retina graphics! This game is a total must download. Highly recommended! 76 mb total size. Can someone please link this for me? Thanks Edit: thanks Sri Ram for linking!
Well that ****ing sucks. It's not on my iPad anymore, I paid for it, I did what I usually do and pushed the update all button on iTunes on my MacBook Pro and emptied the trash. Went to this forum to find free games and now this crap. Ugh, I utterly hate the mobile freemium model crap...just another game to delete off my system. I think if a company makes a game premium, they should keep it premium. I can't stand all these premium games going to the lame crappy freemium model. Getting tired of this crap on mobile systems.
This was posted on the main thread; thought I would post it here too. Quote: Originally Posted by Connector I have decided to support your decision to convert this game to freemium. I still have a ton of coins left to buy new guns, Continues, etc. So I like how you reward us early adopters. Thanks. Also, thanks for the new ipad retina graphics, it looks much bettter now on my ipad! While the game seems to be harder now, I actually like that because I felt the game was too easy before. And now that I unlocked all levels, it is better harder. So because of these things, I have decided to support your decision to go freemium. I will post a thread in the freebies section. But maybe you can take the free out of the game icon, it makes it look cheap and also will put a bad taste in the mouthes of the early buyers. Then a post back from the developers: ------------------------------------------- I'm glad you enjoyed our changes. The free on the Icon is likely temporary. We just wanted to be sure the people that have previously seen the game and declined to pay 99c, realise that it is now free. I'm glad you got the 20,000 coins. Unfortunately this is only available to those who still have it installed and have a save game. I couldn't detect it any other way. Cheers, Antony.

People do delete things off their iPads/iPhones/iPod Touches to make room and plan to go back to it later. And if you have a ton of apps and have a lot of updates per day, that "update all" on the iTunes program does the trick. I'm really hating these freemium games, I just simply ignore them nowadays...what really ticks me off though is a game I paid for, plan to go back to later, then realize they changed to the crap freemium model. There's been several games like that which I had paid for, really liked before, now it's just getting annoying. I think I've come to the point that if a paid game seems like it could be a freemium model type of game, I definitely won't buy it. It really doesn't do justice to the people who paid for a game thinking it's a premium type of game and get screwed in the end when they change it. Glad it was cheap, but all these games do add up to a lot of money I spend per year on apps. If it's premium, developers shouldn't screw over it's previous customers by selling out and changing the game to the lame freemium model. But what he says is accurate, no ads at all. And tons of new stuff. You don't lose too much by upgrading. There are a little more nags to buy inapps and such, but there are tons of benefits to upgrading. Check the main thread, there is a little more info there. But I have to say, before, this game was kind of lightly played by me, but after the upgrade, I like it ten times better. The time bomb mode is really fun for me, and the new ipad retina is great too. If I were you, I would upgrade, if you have the game on your system already, you will get 20k coins, which you can use to unlock all game levels, all game modes, and buy some guns, clothes etc. Anyway, I would recommend you upgrade definately, only thing I hate is that new icon with the word free on there, but I think the game will stay freemium forever, and I bet you that they will update the game even more in the future, which is another added benefit to this freemium conversion. Did you lose anything by us changing our business model? The fact is the paid version was not paying the bills because at 99c not enough people were giving it a go. Our hope is that going freemium will increase the player base substantially to make it viable to develop more content for everyone (including people who bought it for 99c) in future, content like in this update.
