For about the first year or so of the apps store, I was always buying games and reading up on them. Then, say last Fall, I just lost interest in them. I've purchased a lot of the popular ones - Rolando, some FPS stuff, some racing games - and spent $300 in total for maybe 80 games (sometimes for 10 bucks, sometimes for 1). I don't know - I've just stopped caring about games outside of Trism, which I always play. Perhaps it's because I have a first gen model, which is not well compatible with some of the recent stuff. Anyone else like me?
I haven't been buying games as often, but I haven't stopped buying games altogether. I've just been more selective. My most recent purchases were Ragdoll Blasters 2, Need For Speed: Undercover, and Frong. And when, or if, Mirror's Edge finally comes out, I'll buy that one too.
I don't buy games very often, mostly because i only get gift cards once every 2 months or so...but when i get a gift card, i spend it all at once on the games I've been waiting for.
I don't think anyone here has stopped buying games. Slacked down, yes. I haven't stopped buying games but i have slacked down a bit. And that is only because i'm waiting for upcoming games plus the fact that nothing has catched my eye yet.
Actually I realized that I am always buying new stuff in the AppStore, so I propose myself to get a 30 dls gift card, Buy FF2, some levels for Cogs and 2 productivity apps (a todos and upgrade my DocstoGo to premium) then I will play and finish all the games I have on my iPod and my Mac and avoid buying new stuff. I have stopped buying games, but only because I want so many games that I need to control my expenses or I'll go bankrupt
am trying to stop browsing the iTunes store for stuff..it's making me sick >< having $0.01 left in credit helps stop myself
You know, this forum itself is a sign that you can't really stop, I don't know about you, but I come here every day to check what is new and fun and if there's anything new to buy
Well, on my iPod right now, I have about $255 in apps, probably about $100-150 more not on this iPod, and I spent almost $40 in TTR3, so I have almost $300 worth apps on my iPod, not counting my probably $250 of music on this one, and $50 on movies and TV Shows. And I almost bought Street Fighter IV, but I'm gonna wait maybe a month or so for a possible sale.
