The cocktail mixing gets repetitive, but the story are really well written, and is really worth it. There's a free game which takes place between Bar Story 1 and 2. It's called Bar Story 1.5. So try it on your iPad and see how it looks. Wait, no, these games weren't made for the ipad. You have to pour drinks, which IIRC requires you to tilt your device 90 degrees. Wouldn't really work well on an ipad.
