Hey guys, time to bring back the thread we've had for LoE2. To start off with, I'll post my own times and update the first post as others add to it. For LoE2, the competition was fierce. Here are my times (I'll probably update this post as I go). I'll make it easy on you by formatting it properly. Please grab the hyperlinks, as well ... Hyperlinks take you to my everyplay video of the run. (everyplay.com/raptorf35) LoE 1-1: 9.10 (RaptorF35) LoE 1-2: 8.30 (RaptorF35) LoE 1-3: 4.33 (RaptorF35) LoE 1-4: 5.35 (RaptorF35) LoE 1-5: 6.53 (RaptorF35) LoE 1-6: 5.95 (RaptorF35)
Updated the first post. Kept my time for 1-5 though, since I got it first. It's very annoying when it comes down to millisecond timing (like levels 1, 5, etc). There's just enough luck involved to keep us within 0.02 of a second from each others' times. =/
4.93s on 1-16. On Everyplay as mr_bez. Only time I've got close to you though. Every time I think I've set an awesome time, you've beaten me by a second! Edit: 1-17 3.48s - that's better!
FINE! I guess I'll have to beat it by being quicker than the crusher... Here you go! LoE 1-5: 6.32 (RaptorF35) LoE 1-7: 5.10 (RaptorF35) LoE 1-8: 6.33 (RaptorF35) 1-8 was a little crazy... Don't ask me how I figured out how to do that, it was more or less a reflex. (I can do it consistently, now)
Updated the scores again. Raptor, beat you on 1-1. By 0.02 of a second again! I've started to use Joypad with this game and I gotta say... damn. What a difference it makes. Not to this game specifically, but the fact that I can play my iPad like a console? Holy... This is the future, man. How did I not know about this before!?
Just bought the game right now... you guys might have some competition! So how does this work? If I beat a time, do I have to post a video up as proof? How do we do this? EDIT: Dang, Echo! How did you get 9.08 on 1.1?!? The lowest I have so far is 9.82!
Some starter scores for Episode 2: LoE 2-1: 13.35s (mr_bez) LoE 2-2: 6.93s (mr_bez) LoE 2-3: 11.07s (mr_bez) LoE 2-4: 13.08s (mr_bez) LoE 2-5: 5.38s (mr_bez) LoE 2-6: 13.42s (mr_bez) LoE 2-7: 15.05s (mr_bez) LoE 2-8: 16.65s (mr_bez)
I had 9.12 before, then Raptor got 9.10. I damn near killed my wrists (iPad), played the level over and over for hours, but got 9.08. You should check the replays for some videos, constantly spamming the dash makes you go faster and would probably cut down your time by half a second at least. I consistently get times like 9.18-9.20 and occasionally shorter. For the most part it's all about the dash. In the first level, I dash just before falling off the edge into the big hole, then press jump and instantly dash forward to get onto the other side. If done right you go very close to horizontal and don't waste much time. This is probably where the difference between me and Raptor comes from, 0.02 seconds is down to pixel-timing and you can't really account for it except to luck out. You don't have to post a video, I will trust you, although it is preferred. However, if you beat a time by a lot (especially Raptor's times... he's a beast) then post a video so we can see the technique/path you took.
Echoseven. I have an old replay of a 9.22 video on there, I still pretty much use the same path. RaptorF35 is on there too. He's got his 9.10 video up. You don't have to sign up to post a video, but yes, a screenshot will do.
Thought you meant youtube or something didnt know it had its own video thing. Well that settles it. Game bought.
TA made a post on it a little while ago. It's Everyplay, built into the game itself and you don't have to do anything strenuous to get a replay uploaded. The leaderboards are waiting. Join ussssssss.
I actually got 9.08 shortly after you said you beat my time, but stupidly didn't get the replay, and I was bound and determined to actually beat it, so I kept trying and finally got 9.07, after about an hour. LoE 1-1: 9.07 (RaptorF35) Well, maybe it was from the gap, but I'm thinking it might have been the wall jumping. That part can be a little pain in the neck, sometime. Gotta cut those corners close! Thanks for the compliment! I probably should continue on the other levels, so I can actually show up on the GameCenter leaderboards.
