Hmm...forgot about this being a rebrand of FF Legends 2. Went back and found an article by Shaun Musgrave when that game was released in Japan. Didnt sound like he liked it all that much. Not sure if going premium really would change that impression.

Just found out I spent $200 on iOS games this month. About $100 was for my Japanese account for a gacha game.. :/

"Final Fantasy Legends II is an exact clone of the original... not even sure what's new in this version other than it being super free and not hiding behind a pay wall. "It was announced on November 2, 2016 that [Final Fantasy Legends] would be undergoing a massive update and would be rebranded as Final Fantasy Legends II. The updated version replaced the original on November 10, 2016 in Japan.

The game ended its free-to-play service on October 31, 2017, citing difficulty with maintaining and delivering a product that would be to everyone's satisfaction. Square Enix released a standalone version of the game worldwide on the same day, retitling it Final Fantasy Dimensions II with a purchase price of US$13.99."

You are correct I played it a lot in Japan and the FTP elements have have been removed along with some other changes and personally I love it and think it’s worth every cent even though I have more or less played most of this game but I played it as a FTP and I like it as a premium much better
I’m just shocked they were able to turn it into a premium game and also shocked at how much more fun the game itself is
As a FTP it was less a challenging as well in some areas

Yes it was released in the West. What the Japanese call Final Fantasy Legends, everyone in the West knows as Final Fantasy Dimensions.

But I thought this wasnt really a sequel to Final Fantasy Dimensions. At least didnt seem like it from Shauns article when it first released in Japan.

Anyway, still looks good to me. Id like to hear what Shaun says about it though. He probably played through the F2P version.

I suppose your gacha game is grand order Lawliet

on my side i'm a long time brave exvius fan (nothing to do with legends, and ffbe is more refined than this on the graphics side)

If someone play this, still interested by the mechanics (acquiring units / stuff / powers) how did they change that in this premium version.

Would love some impressions from you - was it worth the $15? Is it fully premium?
