I think I've heard the same Kevin MacLeod tracks in about 3 different games now. I don't think there's anything wrong with using free music from the Internet, but I do sometimes wish more game developers would recruit the talents of other freelance musicians. I'm sure many of them would consider doing an original score, free of charge, in exchange for the exposure. What are your thoughts?
Depending on the project, I personally know a couple who would be willing to provide free music for exposure. You could also check here, or on music production boards for artists who would be willing to donate their services.
