Pixlgun 3D is at the top of the paid charts on the AppStore. Wow.. In fact, four of the top 10 paid games are related to Minecraft.
Favored comic book games for me: 1. The Walking Dead: Assault 2. Lego Batman: DC Super Heroes 3. Spider-man: Total Mayhem 4. Alien Versus Predator: Evolution 5. X-men 6. Marvel Versus Capcom 2 7. Injustice: Gods Among Us 8. The Amazing Spider-man 9. Super-man (Chillingo, pulled) 10. Justice League: Earth's Final Defense Here are some other comic book based iOS games: Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters, Batman: Arkham City Lockdown, Marvel Kaprow!, Marvel War of Heroes, Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty, Eternal Descent: Heavy Metal Heroes, Avengers Initiative, Stan Lee's Verticus, Avengers Alliance, Usagi Yojimbo: Way of the Ronin, The Dark Knight, The Amazing Spider-man, Marvel Pinball, Thor: Son of Asgard, The Walking Dead (based on TV spin-off), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run (based on TV spin-off), X-men: Battle of the Atom (coming soon, card freemium game). I'm surprised there's no Wolverine game, with two stand-alone movies you'd think that guy would be an easy cash grab.
Has anyone played these games? Found these games on SlideDB. They seem really promising but I've never heard of them. Any impressions? RICO - A TALE OF TWO BROTHERS https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/rico/id602656300?mt=8 UNSTOPPABALL DX https://itunes.apple.com/en/app/unstoppaball-dx/id489103099?mt=8 BLIP https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/blip/id517284999?mt=8 ZOMBIES. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/zombies./id568711604?mt=8 CASTER https://itunes.apple.com/app/caster/id314016537 NIGHTMERICA https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/nightmerica-usn/id596231696?ls=1&mt=8
Many of these games probably have threads here with comments. Zombies is a great dual stick shooter, get it. Nightmerica is a serviceable platformer, it has a unique feature were you randomly run across different guns. I think Rico was popular at one time.
I've been recommending Zombies ever since it came out. Just search for Bignic, the devs. Searching using Zombies as your search string doesnt really get you anywhere. LOL. Most of us in the thread who got the game even dubbed it one of the best soundtracks of the year... And I bought the album I played Caster before, and it's thread is buried somewhere here, but i didnt really like it. Well, actually, i dont remember much of it. Rico is great, but after a few stages, it loses steam. Nightmerica is ok, but there are better arena-based games.
So Zombies. is a definite buy. Downloading now Blip and Unstoppable looks fun, anyone play those? Turns out I had already downloaded Nightmerica a while ago, probably when it was free I'll search for that Caster thread, but just so you know, the version history page says they improved the controls, added new missions, new characters, new gameplay mechanics, and support for the "60beat GamePad".
Since this is technically asking what should I get, will you guys help me decide on something that is not an app? I started high school today and I want to get an iPad to take notes, use keynotes, pages and whatnot. Now I can't buy iPad 4. Well I can afford it, but I do not want to use 470 on it, I have other expenses as well. So now I have a choice between the iPad mini and the iPad 2. Which should I go for? It'd be awesome if you could throw a whole list of pros and cons for both devices, but I guess a short answer will do as well. Also take into consideration that I do wanna use it as a gaming device from time to time(mostly play on my Xbox though). I'd play games like the Modern Combat series on it. Which device lags more when playin it? I have an iPod 4G so I'm used to dealing with lag so I don't need to get the newest iPad 4, but from those two, which is faster and more suitable for studying?
Size doesn't matter(that's what she said). Tbh I think the size is more of a problem than anything, because iPad Mini is much easier to carry in my backpack.
Thanks for the lists EP and undeadcow. I've played all, but somehow these games still need console strength, though I am hoping that some great marvel type games come out for the ipad 5.
Action/Adventure with some rpg elements? I am looking for an action/adventure game with some rpg elements and customization/upgrades. Sorta like a battleheart or mage gauntlet. Not really a serious rpg but not a smash em up either.
It sucks for typing and holding it immediately makes me feel like a woman. If you can't handle the size, get an iPod.
Zombies. is great. Would second that recommendation Has anyone here played Mauv or Gear Jack? Those games also love very good and the impressions in the forum were very positive. Mauv impressions were uniamously excellent
I do find it a bit hard to manuever without getting caught behind doors but it adds to the hectic feeling of the gameplay. Tried Mauv lite, seemed a bit meh. Forum impressions are fantastic though, so maybe the lite version isn't the best indication Gear Jack seems fun, probably going to get that Also tried Dungeon Heroes. Always looking for a new roguelike on IOS and it seems pretty good
