Are there any currently good games on iOS that does not offer in-app purchases?

I know you dont need to purchase the in-apps, but a lot of games make you do so in order to complete certain levels.

I know Donut Games has no in-app purchases and Oceanhorn, but any other good games?

BTW: I'm looking for games that support the iPhone 5+, not games from 2011 or earlier :)

This thread could be a mile long with good games that don't have IAPs. Even though the IAP route has been growing and growing, there's been plenty of devs that have taken the premium route. And probably could look at any game published from before 2010 or so. I'm not sure when IAPs were allowed. But there's a ton of great classic iOS games without IAPs.

I couldn't even begin to list them. Look at past GoTY threads. You'll see the games that did well. Search them and you're bound to find that most of them don't have IAPs (this community generally likes the Premium route - with some exceptions).

I apologize, I should have been clearer in my post.

I know it could stretch really long.

So to update, I am looking for iOS games that is compatible with the iPhone 5/5s
    4-inch screen.

So basically any newer games released within this year or last year. :D

I'd argue that there are a lot of great games that have content DLC that are not required that you may be overlooking. Are you referring to games that have consumable IAP? Because I know I am one that does not like certain types of IAP but I wouldn't dream of uninstalling games like Hunters or a the Walking Dead, Ravenmark, Warhammer Quest or The Shadow Sun just because they have content IAP, some of which are totally optional while others greatly extend the game.

In any case I am a little different from others as I like robust games on my device so my selection is a little more pedigree than the typical pick up and put down kind of games.

    Knights of the Old Republic
    Baldur's Gate
    Bastion
    Xcom
    Shadowrun
    Ravensword 2
    Frozen Synapse
    Oceanhorn
    Neon Shadow
    Aquaria
    Waking Mars
    Gemini Rue
    Terraria
    9th Dawn
    Avadon
    Avernum
    Avernum 6

There are tons of games though....

I am looking for games that don't have ANY in-app purchases PERIOD.

I know there are really good games out there, but have in-app, so I'm not looking for those.

    Thanks for your input though!

Oh, how could I forget Badland. That game is like the shining example of premium games done right

Also in response to your OP, a lot of game are structured to have IAP that you don't need to beat anything.

What about Ninjin, which is free with IAP to unlock the full game? Or Starborn Anarkist, which offers two currency packs, but the game is so insansely generous that you're never lacking for currency or ship parts? Or games that simply allow impatient gamers to unlock levels early, but is totally unnecessary because you can just play through the game to progress normally?

Tiny Thief, which was my favorite game at the time when I beat it, has now been added with IAP by allowing users to buy hints.

At least I beat the game while it was still premium :)

    I agree!

Those are the type of games I'm looking for.

Pay for a premium price to get a premium experience :)

Personally I feel like IAP for hints (ie Tiny Thief) are so extraneous and for casual gamers that I wouldn't say it's not premium any more. You don't need hints to complete anything, they don't affect your experience at all

That's why I'm asking about your opinion of other games. Starborn has IAP but it's also one of most well balanced and generous games I've played. It literally just throws money at the player (really you get daily reward for simply playing). Reaper has IAP, but they're simply to unlock the game, there's nothing else to purchase. Jet Car Stunts 2 is free, but for all intents and purposes, it's a $4.99 premium game because you pay $5 to unlock the game. Beat Leap is free, and the only IAP is to support the developer, nothing else
