People should be trying it. It's a relatively straightforward realtime roguelike survival game where you wander around town fighting zombies and collecting materials by day in order to craft defenses for the night when the zombies attack relentlessly. The only thing that really bothers me so far is that boss attacks seem to be completely random so occasionally one will come after you right at the start when you've got nothing to defend yourself but a knife. I just take the beating and restart. The games are pretty quick anyway. The IAP is basically for cheating. You can buy coins (you can also get coins for free watching ads) and coins can be used to buy crafting materials and a couple of other things. There appear to also be some permanant IAPs for some sort of pets (I think?) and alternate characters (not sure if it's just cosmetic or what. There are also crates in game that you have to watch an ad to open. I just pass them bye since I don't like the way it interrupts gameplay and now I barely notice them since they seem to appear pretty infrequently. Royce Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2011 4,239 179 63 #3 Royce, Nov 12, 2016 An update just came out with several improvements including preventing bosses from appearing at the start of the game when you had no chance to stand up against them. In case anyone is trying this, I am still terrible at the game but here are a few tips I picked up. Always build an axe right away. It's easy to make, an improvement over the knife (though the knife was buffed this update so I'm not sure how true that still is) and provides a much increased supply of wood (chop trees). Then replace with a steel axe when you can. Find a good building with only two entrances to hold out your first couple of nights. Try for a corner of the map of possible to make it easier to fin your way back if you don't have a compass yet. Build a crafting desk and a brazier. Melt any metal, and build a barricade and a door to cover the buildings two entrances. With the brazier burning you don't even need a campfire burning though you can still build one to cook food if necessary. After a few nights you will want to move to a larger building but a small one with limited entrances that is easy to find your way back to is ideal to start. Also, I purchased one of the permanant IAPs. It's a dog that you can use every game. It can attack and retrieve items for you. I still have no idea what the birds do but it's probably similar.
