I really like this game and I've spent some cash on extra boxes and stuff. The art work is fantastic and it seems much more fun than Magic imo.

The issues with tracking down rare cards is a tough one and it seems the developers are trying to work out a system that won't break the game.

Yesterday I was seriously thinking of spending a ton of cash to try to get more heroes and dark assassins. Several times I got to the confirm purchase page but then hesitated. Just as well, I downloaded a programme that shows the card lists and there isn't a lot that I don't already have. I would do better to concentrate on my deck building and gaming skills.

Saying that, I hope there are a ton of new cards in the expansion next month. I may well be tempted...

I must say that my mood when playing this game really affects my gameplay. I can't even listen to music when I play, it takes total concentration and has left me with some killer headaches.

Thankfully, I think I am past that stage now though and more of a passive player.

I don't know how this game isn't more popular, it's the best CCG on the market, has a great player base because of its PC origins, and due to the strategy available in the game, you don't need the best cards to compete. Yes it's possible to spend a lot of money on it, but anyone who's played a CCG knows that. It's all a matter of what kind of deck you're willing to play with.

Well for me I DL it, played a game and deleted it. The sideways nature of the board and the lining up of creatures on the battlefield just turned me off of it. Perhaps I didn't give it a fair shot. I'm a retired mtg player and also played a lot of shadow era last year and loved it.

I also played shadow era, and the combat is so much deeper in this game, placement of your creatures is a huge deal, with monsters buffing adjacent monsters, spells doing AOE and line damage. A new expansion is coming out this week also, so hopefully prices will lower on the older expansion.
