Feel free to comment with questions and/or feedback, i will glady answer Misguided Well-Known Member Jan 27, 2009 2,346 19 38 #2 Misguided, Sep 3, 2016 This is quite well done. A few comments: 1. An iap to remove ads for a dollar or something would be most welcome. 2. Some sort of sound feedback as your move plays out would be nice. The music is good, but the game feels a bit sterile right now. 3. Still on the first board, but the puzzles are rather easy. I wonder if having a 4x4 or 5x5 later wouldn't really help ramp up the difficulty (maybe it already does). 4. I get the whole idea of choosing your own course around the map, but the transitions from level to map to level get a bit old after a while. Overall, nice idea, well executed. LarsTornbjerg Member Sep 3, 2016 9 0 0 #3 LarsTornbjerg, Sep 4, 2016 Thanks for the feedback! 1. Im working on that right now - should be done in a week (I hope) 2. I agree, the game could use some more love on the sounds side of things 3. I would love to hear from you later what you think about the curve. The levels should begin challenge you later on and when new mechanics are introduced. 4. If you have any cool ideas for transitions, let me now TheGreatEscaper Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2014 1,025 22 38 #4 TheGreatEscaper, Sep 4, 2016 This is a cool mechanic! I'm only a few levels in so haven't encountered any difficulties yet but I really like the idea and can't wait to see how the game gets fleshed out. I'm a fairly hardcore puzzlist so if this mechanic that I really like can also get paired with hefty challenges, I'll be very pleased! Will definitely be playing this over the next week(s?), and if there was an IAP to remove ads I'd 100% be picking that up. I really like this idea. I can't wait to see how the difficulty increases. I hope you don't mind but I've made a little puzzle for you Normal mechanics (as in just the bare basics I've seen so far). From the green circle to the cross! Or the other way! The solutions are not the same... Let me know if you solve it. I love designing puzzles and I've made this one to be fairly devious... (Note: part of the reason why I made this puzzle is because so far I've found a method which solves almost every puzzle without fail - I've only seen one puzzle so far which it doesn't solve. The puzzle I've made cannot be solved using that method.) LarsTornbjerg Member Sep 3, 2016 9 0 0 #6 LarsTornbjerg, Sep 4, 2016 Hey TheGreatEscaper! Im very glad you are enjoying the game. I promise you the game will challenge you later on as you get to the top of the first world map. Let me know how you like the new mechanics that gets introduced when you hit the top You have made a very nice level (and difficult!). I love how much it looks like the paper prototype I made back in december: TheGreatEscaper Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2014 1,025 22 38 #7 TheGreatEscaper, Sep 4, 2016 Last edited: Sep 5, 2016 I'm in the second world now! Only a few levels in so just getting the basics of this mechanic down but there have been some levels I really like already. It's getting late where I am so I'll have to put this down for tonight, but I'll let you know when I finish off this world! Edit: (I removed the level with a mistake) LarsTornbjerg Member Sep 3, 2016 9 0 0 #8 LarsTornbjerg, Sep 4, 2016 You are fast. Did you get there without using any hints? With all the levels you are drawing at the moment, you will soon take my job as designer TheGreatEscaper Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2014 1,025 22 38 #9 TheGreatEscaper, Sep 5, 2016 I'm now into the third world, with the first two fully completed! I used one hint and one 'tracer' to see what they would do, but otherwise I have used no aids. Ahahaha I simply can't help it I enjoy designing puzzles. Here is one for the third world: As usual, green to the cross, and reds are walls. The yellows are the portals introduced in the third world. This is a very cool mechanic and it could make the levels much more difficult! I think I am going to like this world a lot. LarsTornbjerg Member Sep 3, 2016 9 0 0 #10 LarsTornbjerg, Sep 5, 2016 I hope a level will be so hard that you have to use more hints soon - you're too good Your level has a lot of diffrent solution, which might be on surpose. Anyways, its a cool little level TheGreatEscaper Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2014 1,025 22 38 #11 TheGreatEscaper, Sep 5, 2016 Aha oops that level should have a lot more vertical walls! That was an intermediary image I saved and I didn't save the final level over it. I'll send the fixed one soon. The levels have been getting harder! I'll let you know when I get truly stumped! LarsTornbjerg Member Sep 3, 2016 9 0 0 #12 LarsTornbjerg, Sep 5, 2016 Some of the portal levels are quite hard, so hopefully soon Otherwise I hope the last world will TheGreatEscaper Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2014 1,025 22 38 #13 TheGreatEscaper, Sep 6, 2016 I'll be working through the portal levels tonight. There are three levels in the portal world I haven't managed to solve yet. For now, I'm moving on to the last world. As a way to get back at you, here's the even more difficult version of that portal puzzle! I'll let you know I go with world 4 and if I can finish off world 3.
