Thanks for the review. Id love it if they added Archon II: Adept as they hope. (But really I want the 16-bit/Amiga versions of Archon and Archon II.) Actually, I want the new Archon Conquest to gain iPad and iCade support. No updates since 2009!
Yes. I am almost inspired to contact React Games. I am sure sales are pretty slow now and iCade support may give them a welcome little spike for awhile. Both Archon and Archon Conquest would play great with the iCade. There is no Universal or iPad version of these games though. That could put off a few iCade/Archon lovers.
I was very impressed with this game. It's reminiscent of Super Crate Box (and Muffin Knight) in pace, level design, unlock system and enemies. The key difference is that you are smashing balls around the place to score goals and kill enemies. Really fun! It gives it that little unpredictable element as the ball physics are harder to predict than traditional weapons.
iSpherical is 99c. Appears to be iCade compatible. Anyone confirm? http://appshopper.com/games/ispherical-a-wizards-journey Description says 'controller' support. Same author as Hummingz EVO HD which is a nice Centipede clone.
YouTube videos of it look great. Love to hear your thoughts after you give it a run through. I generally prefer more arcade style games, but it looks to have a bit of pace for a puzzler.
Also hows the sound? The sound (and too-high volume level) is a weakness in Hummingz, and the YouTube video of iSpherical doesnt contain game audio. Im sure Ill get around to trying it regardless sooner or later.
Hi everyone, i just purchased recently an icade for my android tablet, and the experience with mame4droid was just great. Thanks to youtube i discovered that other emulatorslike MD Emu, snes9x, etc also works with the icade. At first i installed the emulators (the same than the available for android), then after that i configurated the controls but it looks like there is some kind of problem with the joystick. The problem is that i configured the joystick (up, down, left, right), but the game character doesn't walk, it just move a bit. As you can see, the emulator recognizes the joystick, but i don't know why insted of moving a bit the character doesn't walk. ¿Could someone post me a pic of its key configuration in MD emu for example or offer me a solution to my problem? thank you so much from spain
Super Lemonade Factory has added support for iCade and iControlPad (firmware 2.0 and 2.1a) controllers. The update will go live on Tuesday (17th April 2012). The update also includes screen rotate support, so you can put the iPad in your iCade the right way.
Im surprised how much that matters to me Super Lemonade Factory should be a great fit for iCade! Thanks.
And it's on sale for 99c too. What a fantastic surprise! It's great to see another large publisher adding iCade support. I am picking this up straight away.
^Yep please support this app and get their In app purchases. The packs are so cheap, 69p for a pack of games, unlike Namco where its 1.99 or 2.99 per game ! Plus as pointed out theyve added iCade support, a great app
Namco have quickly followed suit by adding iCade support to Namco Arcade! This is a free app with one free gameplay token per day. http://appshopper.com/games/namco-arcade Galaga has just been added to game roster. This app will not download to an iPad 1 due to its lack of a gyroscope. I am not sure which game needs it.
Just wondering, the iMame that was put up and swiftly taken down in the App Store, is that version iCade and Street Fighter 2 compatible?
