Bought the game when it was released and still have not finished it because of that. When you play puzzle games you want to take your time and figure it out. Not have to hurry because of a timer. ip4weather Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2012 1,659 13 38 #7 ip4weather, Dec 10, 2012 agree with Metalic chris1a Well-Known Member Mar 10, 2010 1,335 1 0 Sweden #8 chris1a, Dec 10, 2012 Bought it few months back. Haven't tried it yet. But are all the puzzles timed? If so, please add an option to remove it. No one likes time limits. Except game developers. nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #9 nightc1, Dec 10, 2012 I don't feel as polarized by the timed puzzle deal. I do like to take my time with games I really like... but such is life. I had been interested in checking this one out for a while... now I can do so for free. Can't beat that. One of the nice alternatives to the count down timer is the count up timer... and getting some kind of bonus for finishing under a certain time (level rankings, better ending, something cool). So that encourages replay rather than pushing replay up front to stop folks dead in their tracks that cant figure out a level. Just food for thought for the dev. bramblett05 Well-Known Member Aug 29, 2012 5,682 0 0 #10 bramblett05, Dec 10, 2012 Is professer Layton gonna be on US stores? This reminds me of Layton? nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #11 nightc1, Dec 10, 2012 Doubtful. Nintendo publishes those games in the US. I wouldn't be surprised if Level-5 and Nitnendo have some kind of exclusive deal for Professor Layton. tblrsa Well-Known Member Nov 10, 2009 1,099 0 0 Vienna #12 tblrsa, Dec 10, 2012 Wow, what a nice and polished game. Regarding the timed puzzles: it was never our intention to frustrate people - honest When we were designing the game, our overall aim was to try and create a good mix of puzzle types, which is why some puzzles allow you to take your time, whereas others add pressure. Apologies if the timers are causing people to pull their hair out - we can always look at making them more forgiving in a future update. On the whole - aside from those issues - we hope you guys dig the game. We set out to create a puzzle game that felt a little different in its structure and atmosphere, and developing it was a lot of fun. Thanks for checking it out. xzeldax3 Member May 12, 2012 19 0 0 #15 xzeldax3, Dec 11, 2012 I doubt it. The iOS version was released way after the DS version and the 3DS is nintendo's focus now. A new scribblenauts game is being released on Wii U and 3DS. tblrsa Well-Known Member Nov 10, 2009 1,099 0 0 Vienna #16 tblrsa, Dec 11, 2012 Last edited: Dec 11, 2012 You have certainly achieved that. By adding a back story to the game, you encourage players to twist their brains and come up with solutions to outwit the Mannequin More devs should do that, instead of creating just a barebone puzzle game. The whole game feels very polished. As I stated above, it reminds me to those good old days of FMV Adventures. kzwen Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2010 1,345 0 0 #17 kzwen, Dec 11, 2012 @MojoBonesLtd what's the occasion for the freebie? Makes me wonder if the driod ver. will go free too. Not planning on purchasing on multiple platforms. As for timed puzzles, they frustrate me on occasions but not to the point where I will say arghh, I quit - delete. nkarafo Well-Known Member Mar 2, 2011 860 9 18 #18 nkarafo, Dec 11, 2012 I would like also to thank you because this game is very well done. It has a very nice presentation and you really want to play this game and complete it. It's not like some other games that they lack story / presentation and they throw you in dump challenges - e.g. "100 rooms". It's challenging but you can solve it. It has nice music too. Thanks. I hope you will meet your sales' expectations. I will rate it with 5 stars MojoBonesLtd Well-Known Member Sep 28, 2011 100 0 16 http://www.mojobones.co.uk #19 MojoBonesLtd, Dec 11, 2012 @kzwen - hold-fire on the Android version. We had a slight problem but it'll be free on Google Play tonight. We did intend for them to both go free at the same time. @nkarafo - Thanks for the praise. It was definitely our intention to create something that wasn't just a straight-up compendium of puzzles. Nothing wrong with those, but they are common on the App Store. When we're developing a game, it's important to keep it fun/interesting for ourselves too, and we had a blast coming up with the concept - especially bringing Mannequin to life.
